Off Market
The Mikelson M43 sportfisher is a successful design in production since 1997, with over 70 M43’s delivered to date. The Tom Fexas design manages to incorporate a lot of big boat features into his mid-size design. Fexas boats are superbly thought out and engineered for smooth performance underway and in action. “Lobo” a privately used Mikelson M43 represents a fine example of a well-equipped, meticulously maintained M43 that has been lightly used and fished very little by her original owners. The Mikelson 43 Sportfisher offers many of the same attributes such as a large flybridge with aft tournament station, low center-of-gravity, custom interior layout, and a fast, smooth, efficient ride. The M43 is built on a solid fiberglass hull and is offered in both forward and aft galley layouts. With an asking price well below the current market, Lobo offers an excellent opportunity to purchase a heavily constructed. mid sized, turn key convertible at a fraction of the cost of ordering a new boat.
Introduced in 1997, the Fexas designed Mikelson 43 Sportfisher has been built to fulfill Mikelson's entry-level sportfisher niche. Based highly on the popular Mikelson 50 Sportfisher, the Mikelson 43 Sportfisher offers many of the same attributes such as a large flybridge with aft tournament station, low center-of-gravity, custom interior layout, and a fast, smooth, efficient ride. Powered with optional twin 480C-E Cummins engines, the Mikelson 43 Sportfisher attains speeds approaching 30 knots. Priced significantly below the competition and with a fit second to none, the Mikelson 43 Sportfisher has set a new standard in the 40-foot range.
The M43 has two separate staterooms forward and down several steps from the main salon. The guest quarters are located to starboard and consist of a lower double berth for two and a very ingenious single upper berth athwart-ship that can be folded into the forward bulkhead when not in use offering accommodations for a total of three guests. The salon table drops into a king size bed as well.
The master stateroom is located forward in the bow and contains a center-line raised queen berth with storage drawers located underneath.

Guest Stateroom
Located to port across from the guest stateroom and accessed by doors from both the master stateroom and the companionway is the boats main head compartment.
The galley is on the main level and is located aft of the salon. Comprised of a large island counter top with built-in three burner stove, the aft galley configuration (a $3,500 option) offers a great deal of space, storage, and convenience for the on board cook.
The main salon is forward of the galley and has excellent natural light provided by the forward windows and gives a full 360 degree view to the outside.
Located under the main salon area is a large machinery and storage space. Access is provided by raising the forward steps on a hydraulic ram. An excellent storage space this area also houses a washer/dryer, inverter and other easily accessed machinery.
The large cockpit is designed and laid out for the serious fisherman and boasts a number of unique features found only on much larger vessels.
Access to the flybridge is gained by way of a set of built in stairs from the cockpit. This flybridge is a big as some 55 footers, and contains seating for a crowd under the custom fiberglass hardtop.
The engine-room on the aft galley model M43 is located all the way aft under the cockpit sole. Access is via a pair of hydraulically actuated hatches, and a separate center-line hatch with stainless steel ladder. A well laid out area with excellent access to the outboard sides of the engines it offers stand up headroom with the hatches opened all the way.
