This 2005 Riviera has had only 3 owners with light use and mostly cruised. Her 750 hp CATS have only 1800 hours. Her 3 staterooms and 2 heads make for a very comfortable layout, with a lot of upgrades and amenities both inside and out. New in 2018 fly bridge enclosure with Sunbrella fabric.
The light face of cherry timber, a theme that runs throughout the interior, contributes to an ambiance of contemporary elegance. Wherever you look, there is something to admire: the promise of supreme comfort in the large, deep lounge; the generous proportions of the dining area; the amount of storage room will impress even those planning on the longest voyage with a full complement of passengers. It’s those little details that make a big difference – like the high ceiling, and the grab rail that is now recessed into the ceiling…and on the topic of ceilings, press a button and a section folds down to reveal a home for storage items that need to be stowed away. Everything, from the flat screen TV, DVD player and Bose surround sound system to the ice maker and wine cooler, tells you that our standard inclusions set a new standard in luxury cruising.
The galley is equally impressive. Positioned in such a way that the chef is still a part of the party, it features ingenious storage and all the equipment and room you need to prepare the most elaborate of dishes. As for the quality of the fittings, what else would you expect but Corian for benchtops and Grohe for tapware.
The generous proportions of the Master Stateroom have allowed us to give you the luxury of a larger than average bed with a proper innerspring mattress, of course. And the ensuite has been meticulously designed with a large Corian topped vanity and a shower that actually lets you move around.
The guest stateroom retains the sophisticated, contemporary look of the saloon and here too you will find a flat screen TV and DVD player. The platform on which the bed sits now also features drawers underneath and lifts on gas struts to allow access to further storage. This second stateroom is again superbly furnished, sizeable and wonderfully comfortable – in fact, it is superior to the Master Stateroom found on many competing vessels.
The cabin, so often looking like something squeezed in as an afterthought on other boats, offers an unusual level of comfort and, in typical Riviera style, the creative use of space is sure to impress you.
A flybridge that is tough enough to weather, the storm but flexible enough to take full advantage of fine weather is one reason why this Riviera is an ideal all-seasons cruiser or gamefisher. This is no flimsy open flybridge wither; the robust stainless steel supports and solid hardtop contribute to a very substantial feeling. To cater for your family and friends there’s a large table complete with drink holders, quality seating, CD player, wet bar and fridge. There’s loads of storage space, special glass racks, an adjustable table that converts to a bed, and a locker for the garbage bin.
With this new-style helmstation the layout of the controls and displays is reminiscent of a luxury European car: clean, uncluttered and with everything as visible and accessible as could be. There are two immensely comfortable and fully adjustable helm seats, so when you are in the driving seat, you can always have company.
Generator – Onan EQD 21.5kw with water separating muffler, fresh water-cooled, including sound shield, remote stop/start diagnostic, hour meter.
For the dedicated sun worshippers, the foredeck is big enough to accommodate you, your friends – and a sizeable dinghy and crane.
Here you can really stretch out or do some serious entertaining: it’s a wonderfully large open space and naturally, equipped with a fridge, sink, live bait tank, and masses of storage for fold-away furniture, watersports accessories or the catch of the day.
With the standard twin 3406 Caterpillars 750 hp, electronic controls, the 51 delivers a top speed of around 30 knots and a cruising speed of around 24 knots.
The solid hand-laid fiberglass hull, together with collision bulkheads, inspires confidence. The closer you inspect this vessel the more in awe of her you will be…the attention to detail, the ergonomic design, the thought that has gone into making life aboard as easy and as pleasurable as possible are outstanding.
The ensuite has been meticulously designed with a large Corian topped vanity and a shower that actually lets you move around. The second bathroom, of similar standard, is even more ingeniously designed. With two door access it can serve as an ensuite off the second stateroom or for general use off the below-decks passageway.
