66' Pacemaker 1978 PURA VIDA

Pura Vida has been well cared for by her owners. She is very clean and updated on her inside and has a great layout with two large salons and four staterooms. She was custom built for the famous astronaut John Glenn, who recently passed, making this boat a part of history.

John Glenn loved this vessel - he owned this fine ship for for 22 years.

The 66 Pacemaker has a great layout and was ahead of its time in design. The 66 Pacemaker has many of the features today's owners demand - for example, a full-beam salon with a nice aft deck and walkaround side decks from the pilothouse forward. 

The big salon with a combination of two large doors opening to the aft deck allows for entertaining inside and and out, with a full bar behind the pilothouse bulkhead. Walking from the aft deck forward:

Pura Vida's spacious aft deck with large sliding doors allows for a nice flow from one space to another.The aft deck is the most popular space on the yacht, with teak decks, a nice coffee table and comfortable seating area for guests. It's a great spot to have coffee or cocktails surrounded by water views. 

Walking forward are two sofas port and starboard and two leather chairs with a footrest. There is a well designed wet bar with a pass-through to the pilothouse and seating for three at the helm. The bar or small galley has a flatscreen TV, icemaker and refrigerator.

The bar is a great place to entertain. Access to forward seating is through port and starboard wing doors with walkaround side decks.

Forward of the pilothouse and down four steps is the lower salon with dinette, which can be converted to another salon if preferred, and four to six chairs. Forward is the galley with dinette, then the crew's quarters and the laundry area or storage and engine access.

This is a great area to enjoy the outdoors for alfresco dining, and one of the most preferred layouts for her era.
