Atx Boat | 32' World Cat 2017

Privately owned 2017 World Cat with 2x 300 Yamaha's located in St. Thomas, VI VESSEL CONSTRUCTIONVessel DescriptionM/V "ATX" is described as a production-class, factory-built, molded fiberglass, two-hull power catamaran. The vessel was constructed as an outboard-powered planning type with a reverse sheer line forward, raked fine entry stems, moderate freeboard, center console helm station configuration, forward and aft seating areas, and vertical transoms with integral swim platform/outboard splash wells. The vessel was originally constructed by The PowerCat Group of Tarboro, NC, USA, around 2017 and is commonly known as the WorldCat 320CC. The hull and deck color was white gel coat. "320 CC" logos were displayed in graphic lettering at the center console sides. USVI Registration numbers were on the forward bows. The vessel is currently being privately cruised for day trips in the Virgin Islands.HullHull ConstructionMolded resin-infused, fiberglass-reinforced, composite laminate with coring for stiffness and gel coat surfacing. Hulls were joined at the underwing with continuous molding.BulkheadsThe hulls were supported by a series of full and partial transverse bulkheads constructed of cored composite laminate with continuous chemical ring bonding and fiberglass tabbing to the hull interiors and deckhead.BottomFine forward entry, lifting strakes in the hull sides forward transitioned to hard chines at each hull inboard and outboard carried aft to the flat transom stern. Hull sections below the chines showed rounded U-shaped bilges. Bottom surfaces showed hand-applied black anti-foul bottom coating in serviceable condition.TopsidesTopsides showed raked stems with a slight forward flare tapering aft to vertical hull sides with a reverse sheer of moderate beam, finishing with raked stern quarters leading to a composite integral dive platform and recessed outboard wells. A nylon rub rail with stainless-steel cap rail was through-fastened over the hull-to-deck join in the hull sides. A spray rail forward at the bows transitioned to a hull stiffening chine above the waterline carried aft to the transom. Topsides were finished in the original white factory gel coat in good condition.TransomRaked transom at deck level transitioned to outboard splash well mounts above the waterline with flat transom sterns below the waterline. A swim deck was integral to the hull and deck structure between the hulls. A substantial alloy boarding ladder was fitted at the swim deck centerline, extending well below the waterline when deployed for ease of boarding. Garboard drains were fitted in the transoms at the keel with threaded plugs for drainage while stored ashore.Hull ConditionVisual inspection of the interior hull support framing gave no indication of debonding, excessive stress, or distortion of the framing components, where sighted. The bulkheads showed as sound with no warping or rot noted where visible. Hull structural frames and deck support structure fit securely. In general, the framing system was well completed, and the hull was adequately supported.Deck and SuperstructureDeck DescriptionThe deck and cockpit areas were of integral molding in fiberglass-reinforced composite plastic. The deck and cockpit surfaces were finished in factory molded, coarse non-skid gel coat. The deck joined the hull in an overlapping "shoebox" fashion showing chemical bonding and mechanical fasteners at the rub rail. The vessel was configured with seating areas forward and aft surrounded by bulwarks formed as part of the hull and deck layup and defined by the center console helm station. The forward cockpit area showed U-shaped molded bench seating with storage below. Center console helm station with helm seats and a composite integral live bait well aft of the helm seats. Two (2) folding removable seats were fitted inboard at the transom with an access doorway to the swim deck and boarding ladder centerline in the transom. Factory molded gel coat with raised non-skid was in excellent condition.Anchor PlatformA single anchor roller mounted at an integral molded platform centerline at the foredeck.Anchor LockerThe anchor locker was accessed at the foredeck through a lifting deck hatch to port. The chain locker drained overboard at the lower section of the locker with discharge thru-hull above the waterline. A secondary anchor locker was fitted in the starboard bow accessed through a lifting deck hatch to starboard showing stowage of the secondary anchor on the date of the survey. The locker drained overboard at the lower section of the locker with discharge thru-hull above the waterline.Deck DrainsDeck drain wells were fitted in the aft cockpit seating area outboard discharging through two (2) above waterline through-hulls on each side.HelmThe helm station was positioned in a molded fiberglass center console with a forward wrap-around windscreen and white powder-coated alloy framing supporting molded fiberglass T-top. The helm station was fitted with wheel steering, engine controls, engine monitor, chart plotter, VHF, and electrical switches panel. The windscreen was fitted with a 12vDC windshield wiper system, armature missing, not in operation. The helm station had adequate visibility for normal operations. Access to a head compartment was to starboard on the side of the center console through hinged latching door. Ventilation was provided through an opening port light and the compartment door. Paint coatings were noted to be deteriorated in several locations on the hard top support framing system (See Findings). A tubular aluminum sliding frame was fitted to the hard top for the deployment of a bimini shade, shade not aboard at the time of the survey. The helm seats were fitted atop a molded fiberglass structure with a livewell, wet bar sink, and storage drawers aft.Canvas and CushionsVinyl-covered cushions throughout seating areas and bolster surrounding bulwark below the gunnel showed in serviceable condition.
