Diligent Boat | 32' Back Cove 2017
DILIGENT is an excellent example of the highly regarded Back Cove 32, and features the somewhat rare and very desirable "factory hardback" option. Coupled with her larger engine, larger gen set, new proportional bow and stern thrusters, and fresh awl grip, she represents a significant value in a nicely upgraded vessel. Heated indoor winter storage at one of New England's finest boatyards is paid. She is still in the water, so a survey and sea trial could still happen before winter!
This boat has had fantastic care and it shows - she is in fantastic condition. In 2023, she received the following improvements:
- The hull was painted with Awlgrip, Shark Grey, (this paint job is a true "10")
- New cushions in the cockpit, with Sunbrella covers
- New tables in the cockpit, with Sunbrella covers
- New Arigoni helm seat with pop-up bolster (allows more comfortable standing position at helm)
- All exterior varnish brought to perfection
- Upgraded bow and stern thruster to Side Power variable speed with Dock Hold mode (these trusters are a significant upgrade over stock)
- Three new power cords
- All new docklines and fenders
DILIGENT has the UPGRADED Cummins 425hp power plant - a nice feature indeed. She also has the optional 6kw Kohler generator and two optional air conditioning units - one in the stateroom and one for the helm deck.
DILIGENT is only available as the owner has re-evaluated his boating needs and has decided to buy a smaller runabout/day boat. As he just purchased her last fall , the structural and mechanical surveys he had done are relevant, and show the boat and all systems to have been in excellent condition with only very minor recommendations. (Note: a full survey is still highy recommended and is likely required for insurance purposes).

The Back Cove 32 offers the same concepts that have built the success of the range. Extraordinary fuel efficiency from her single diesel engine, straight forward systems and rugged good looks that are the talk of any harbor she enters. While her on-deck spaces are perfect for entertaining family and friends, her cozy and luxurious interior perfectly suits the needs of the cruising couple. The skilled boat builders at Back Cove have crafted a warm and inviting interior using American cherry, finely finished with satin varnish.
