"Encore" is a beautiful MJM 34z Downeast, capable island cruiser with three areas to socialize---an open cockpit with space for deck chairs and a table, a pilothouse with a hard fiberglass roof and izenglass sides, with facing benches and a varnished wood table, and a below-deck U-shaped settee, a perfect lounge with a TV, nearby galley and bathroom.
For sleeping accommodations, the table below converts into a bed for two and the two pilothouse benches can accommodate each one adult, as well. This boat is ideal for overnights and week-long trips for two, or day outings for 8-10. The enclosed head has a vacuflush toilet and doubles as a shower. There is a nice sized Galley to Port, with Corian countertop, a custom fridge and freezer that opens from a top lid and a drawer, a Microwave convection over, 2-burner stove, sink and plenty of storage (There's a BBQ in the cockpit). There's also a Spectra watermaker.
MJM is an illustrious builder--a powerboat relative of the amazing J Boat family of sailboats. She has the lovely lines of downeasters, with a swooping deck line for the hull, painted in a Jaguar green, very elegant and eye-catching, but she's clearly designed to handle bigger seas, with a hard windshield, a high bow, comfortable Stidd chairs for the driver and their partner, and cockpit and below-deck diesel-powered heating. There is a generator, Bow and Stern thrusters, and a single 440 HP Yanmar that propels the boat around 22-25 knots.

Reviews on the MJM 34z:
"This boat is primarily intended for day trips and weekend cruises but longer vacations are not out of the question. It’s targeted for a couple who are downsizing from either power or sail particularly those who want the convenience of a smaller craft that can be single-handed […] and doesn’t take half a day’s prep to leave the dock. The layout is perfect for a couple..." - Motorboating
"The MJM’s combination of hull form—the flare, relatively narrow beam, and a long run of constant 18° planing surface—plus a super light and strong construction program promise high performance, even with modest power (and fuel consumption). The hull certainly seems bullet proof, its epoxy/Kevlar/core laminates vacuum bagged and oven cured at high tech Boston BoatWorks. And the test numbers indicate an efficient, nimble craft….The 34Z did pop onto a plane very quickly, assuming an almost constant running trim that felt just right, with excellent visibility at the helm. The noise, even standing nearly atop the diesel, was not bad. Handling was tight, light, and sporty…and I sensed that the boat would continue to behave well even in serious sea conditions" - Power & Motoryacht Magazine
