Grand Banks 57 Description

The Grand Banks 57 follows the evolution of the extremely popular Grand Banks 54EU, which was in production from 2012 to 2016. Grand Banks Yachts made several modifications to enhance the boat’s profile, performance, and interior layout. With the extra length, the spaces are much larger in every area and with the reduction in weight due to GB’s updated techniques and highest quality materials used in construction, her performance far exceeds that of the previous GB54 which shared the same hull and deck.

LUCKY STAR was built for a very knowledgeable and experienced yachtsman & 4-time GB owner who was also a previous GB54EU owner. He was looking for exactly what the GB57 offered: updated design features, additional space throughout, dedicated lazarette with massive storage, and far better performance! She offers updated features and benefits far beyond the GB54EU.

Walkthrough

Enter through the large aft salon door to the expansive main level featuring traditional satin teak interior, beautiful teak & holly soles throughout, recessed LED lighting with dimmers, retractable magnetic screens at all doors, Poseidon accordion blinds, opening windows in salon, dinette, galley and flybridge and much, much more!  To port, two custom chairs with teak cabinet in between for use as side table with storage drawers. Behind is a custom hide-away bar cabinet for bottles and glasses which lifts up by push of a button. A large L-settee with bi-folding teak table sits to starboard. The Samsung TV is hidden forward to starboard on a custom mount and easily appears and retracts by remote operation. It is also mounted on a swivel for easy viewing from all angles including salon, galley or dinette. The large starboard aft salon window opens electronically and port and starboard windows easily slide open for natural light and ventilation. All windows feature Poseidon accordion blinds which are hidden behind valances for stowaway; they feature an easy magnetic fastener at the bottom when pulled down.

Moving forward, the spacious U-shaped galley is to port with dinette to starboard featuring fore and aft facing settees with a teak dining table. The galley features Miele appliances including Miele Speed Oven, Miele Induction Cooktop, Miele Dishwasher, Isotherm Fridge (2), Freezer (2) drawers and plentiful storage!

The lower helm station features two STIDD helmseats, port and starboard pilothouse doors both with retractable magnetic screens, and Volvo Glass Cockpit featuring two Garmin Touchscreens with all the options, variable speed Side-Power bow and stern thrusters, Naiad stabilizers with 7.5 square foot fins and upgraded datum control, and so much more! She is powered by Volvo D13 900’s for cruising speeds at a comfortable 20 knots when you want with easy handling and visibility from both stations.

Head below down a staircase to starboard of the lower helm to find her accommodations. The VIP stateroom is forward featuring queen berth with en suite head and stall shower and second guest stateroom to port featuring custom large single berth and plentiful built-in storage lockers. The full beam master stateroom is aft, amidships and features a custom king walkaround berth, pocketed door to spacious en suite head and stall shower, plentiful storage and utility room access aft. The utility room features a full-size washer and dryer, additional storage and access to the engine room.

Step into the beautiful cockpit which features aft built-in seating, large teak table with room for several additional chairs on the opposite side; this area is perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining. A wet bar is forward to starboard featuring Isotherm fridge/freezer drawers, icemaker, sink and a flip-up docking station with engine and thruster controls. The port side staircase leads up to the incredibly large enclosed flybridge/skylounge area featuring an upper helm with Volvo Glass Cockpit and full instrumentation/controls, two STIDD helmseats and forward facing bench for use as a third helmseat. Aft to starboard is an L-settee with teak table and to port features a wet bar with Isotherm fridge, storage and sink. Three windows electronically open to allow in the ocean breeze and provide the option of opening up the whole bridge on nice days or enclosing for air conditioning on hot days! 

The hatch in the cockpit leads down into the very large and spacious lazarette just aft of the engine room. Moving forward through the sealed watertight door to the engine room which features stand-up headroom and spacious room for access to engines on all sides. Forward in the engine room is access to the utility room and through to the master stateroom; having access to the engines from either the cockpit or the master stateroom is very handy and a great feature of this model.
