Solidly-built in Washington state using the best quality materials available.. Designed by Ed Monk Jr. to the specifications of the legendary R. M. "Tolly" Tollefson as the boat he wanted for himself to cruise Northwest waters from Olympia to Alaska, which he did for many years in his personal 48. Powered by a pair of the highly regarded Caterpillar 3208's, it can attain speeds of approaching 18 knots or be cruised economically at 9 knots. The overall design, typical of Ed Monk and Tolly Tollefson, is remarkably well engineered and both practical and comfortable for West Coast cruising. The Tollycraft 48 was such a successful design that it remained in production from 1975 until 1998.An extensive list of improvements in recent years include new fuel tanks and through hulls, new windows and doors/hatches, Hurricane hot water heating system and water maker, There is also an impressive list of upgraded electronics at both the upper and lower helms. The interior refit included new teak and holly floors, headliners and some beautiful custom woodwork in the salon. Salon

The salon is incredibly bright and spacious. New cherrywood veneers throughout complement a custom fiberglass 'Herishoff' effect ceiling- semi-gloss white with oiled teak accents. All interior lighting has been replaced with touch-sensitive, dimmable LED lighting.

Teak and holly floors, satin finished, throughout interior plus full solid new teak and holly in salon with heavy sound deadening underlay. All new forward cabin and head opening ports provide ample light and ventilation. Of course, a new Lewmar overhead hatch exists in the V berth area.

All exterior AJR windows and Diamond Sea Glaze doors/ hatches were new in 2014.

Galley

Flooded with light from above- and two steps down from the salon, the chef is alwayspart of the action! Generous countertop area with large new polished SS sink/
