The high volume floats have been designed with additional buoyancy giving the Corsair Cruze 970 greater stability and comfort for all her passengers. It's not just the 31 with a few tweaks. The bows have been plumbed for a modern look, the floats are larger with more righting moment enhancing performance and safety, the new deck mold increases interior standing head room to 6' 3" in the main salon, and the cockpit, modeled after the C37 arrangement, is much more comfortable and friendly. Speaking of the main salon, it is now finished in high gloss white making it brighter and giving it a much more modern feel.

The Corsair 970 is a center cockpit design with the accommodations separated by the cockpit. Forward is a V-berth followed by the head compartment. Next aft is the salon area with settees on port and starboard with storage outboard of the settees. There is a swing table that can be moved around the salon or moved out into the cockpit area. Aft of the salon is the galley on starboard and a navigation/chart table area on port. Up three steps to the cockpit area. Aft of the cockpit access is gained through aft cabin through a deck hatch between the two helm seats. “Merlot”  has been optimized for comfortable cruising. Enhancements include the Tides Marine Strong Track which significantly reduces the effort of raising or reefing the mainsail; the Mack Pack sail storage system makes putting the mainsail away quick and easy; custom arch supports 2 high capacity 150W solar panels keep the batteries topped up allowing the fridge to be run 24x7 and still sail with the tiller pilot; dinghy davits on the arch; high quality 12" touch screen chartplotter; full dodger / bimini cockpit enclosure and more!
