Potent twin Volvo Penta IPS 800 or triple Volvo Penta IPS 650 engine options are the pulsing heart of the Windy SR52 BlackBird,and can deliver a 46 knot max. speed with astonishing grip and an exhilarating forty knot cruise. Power is delivered with ease, with muted exhaust noise trailing away in the clear wash from her propellers – so she is notably quiet under way. Her hydrodynamic razor-sharp deep-vee hull, drawn by Windy’s long-term collaborative naval architect Hans Jørgen Johnsen, serves up a super-dry ride for her passengers, remaining balanced and stable at speed, yet lithe and predictable in the confines of a marina. This ability is the result of Windy’s cutting edge vacuum injection moulding techniques, using a Divinycell core, with vacuum injected bulkheads and components contributing to exceptional structural strength, whilst still affording remarkable range.
