OCEAN SPIRIT has been completely rebuilt with most systems professionally replaced or rebuilt and this proven cruising yacht is capable of extended, comfortable passage making, having great form for a comfortable motion at sea. The Ocean 60's have proven time and time again to be exceptional and classic cruising boats of the highest ability, crossing oceans in inconvenient weather and less than desirable conditions.

Aqua Prime Water maker, New 2018 Sol-e Generator 7kW, diesel 495 hours, with computer.

Yanmar 175 diesel - all rebuilt with new pistons, head, rings valves, connecting rods, bearings etc., a serious, proper rebuild.

Plumbing system: total rebuild and many pipes replaced.

Electrical system: Rewired in many areas and upgraded.

Mechanical systems: Engine, generator, pumps, other hydraulics all updated, rebuilt or new.

Refrigeration: all updated, rebuilt or new

Air Conditioning: rebuilt or new

Rigging: Masts pulled out and repainted. All new standing and running rigging. Completely refitted with new and or upgraded hardware. 

Sails from 2016. New Stacking systems on both sails. New UV strip on Genoa. Spinnaker.

Paint of decks and hull: Navy Blue awlgripped hull, Matterhorn white decks. 

Built to Lloyds standards, she is a cruising boat of serious ability.

The entire electrical system was replaced or rebuilt between 2019 and 2020. There is both 110 and 220 throughout boat. Newly added solar panels make her able to stay at anchor or on a mooring with topped off batteries.

TRANSFORMER: Transforms voltage and frequency. 2kWA. New 2019. Located in generator space. 

GENERATOR: Sole Generator, 210 hours. 7kW Mitsubishi engine. Installed in sound proof box. 220VAC 50 hZ. Generator, Sol-e Diesel usage calculated at 0,7L per hour of operation. 

BATTERIES new June 2023, 12 (Twelve) Service batteries, 10 ah per, 2 150 ah batteries for bow thruster, 100 aH/per battery.

House bank: 24 volts. Twelve deep cycle sealed batteries, all 12VDC batteries run in series. Large battery capacity of 1400 Amp hours.

Engine bank: One 12 V battery for engine and one separate battery for generator. New 2021

Parallel switch

Two 4-D batteries for windlass and thruster. New 2023

CHARGERS:

Victron 130 amp charger 220V with 5kW Inverter for house bank

Victron 12 V Charges 20 amp charger for bow thruster, windlass batteries, two 4-D batteries for windlass and thruster. New 2021.

Four Victron 175w solar panels with Victron 20 regulators fitted to custom made bimini with panels on top. These charge the batteries wheteher an incoming AC supply is available or not.

YANMAR 175hp diesel.

In 2019 the Engine was removed from boat and rebuilt stem to stern. New pistons, new connecting rods, bearings, valves, valve guides. Rebuilt fuel injection pump. Proper and complete rebuild. 

The engine space surrounding the engine was also substantially upgraded with better lighting and was painted and made more modern.

In 2020, new prop shaft, cutlass bearing, seals, stuffing box. Propeller is three blade Max Prop, feathering prop.

Two new (2020), 220V Webasto brand Cooling and heating units, 16,000 BTU per unit. Installed new in 2020. One unit cools the whole yacht in the tropics.

New Bimini and Dodger, toast color over hatch and companionway, 2021. Note that the four solar panels are integrated into the bimini. There are drop down curtains to prevent rain from entering via the sides and back. Very nicely done.

All covers for hatches were made in 2020 or 2021. Covers for hatches and windlass in toast colored Sunbrella fabric.

Aqua Prime watermaker new, GPD - tbd

Uniquely fit, Ocean Spirit has a Hydraulic Swim platform mounted on the transom that offers significant advantages to any cruiser. This is the only Ocean 60 we are aware of to have this feature. The transom also serves as a boarding platform and a dinghy storage system. The hydraulic system has recently been serviced. 2023.

Primary anchor: 100 lb/45kg CQR Anchor with 200 feet of 12mm new chain. Secondary: Small Bruce anchor with 60m rope.

INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT of the interior of the yacht has been completed in 2022with newly varnished or painted surfaces, AND, new cabin soles throughout the yacht.

All new Sea cocks, plumbing, toilets, pumps, hose, faucets, valves. The plumbing changes alone are extraordinary and comprehensive.

New mirrors in Heads and Cabins.

Completely rewired. LED Lighting throughout.

All new upholstery and mattresses. 2020.

Masts and booms completely stripped of old paint, faired, primed, painted and all hardware re-installed, replacing any out of date hardware. Mast paint is Oyster White

Decks all painted in 2018-2019. Nonskid is Cream, smooth deck surfaces in Oyster White awlgrip. The decks shine like new. Completely changes the look of the yacht.

In September 2021, four new solar panels were mounted on the new bimini. Note electrical description.

A 10' Caribe tender and 18 hp Tohatsu 2 stroke engine new 2023. A spare 15 HP Yamaha out board engine is included with the sale of the vessel.

Hydraulics for swim platform and water maker need to be re-commissioned.

Water maker is new and has never been used.
