Biography

Russell W. Schafer was born Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and raised by a true fishing family. As a third generation waterman, he learned great deal about the yachting industry at a young age fishing tournaments and helping run the family business, “Fisherman’s Paradise”, where he sold fishing equipment, electronics, engines, and of course, boats.

Russ never stopped selling and for the past 25 years has since established himself as a senior broker with an impressive resumé specializing in sportfishing yachts and motor yachts. Although his wealth of industry/product knowledge, negotiation skills, and enthusiasm are a major key to his success, what sets Russ apart is his integrity, professionalism, and ability to always put his client’s needs first.
