Denison Yacht Sales Opens in Gibraltar – Ocean Village Marina

October 1, 2012 3:54 am

Denison Yacht Sales announces the opening of their latest yacht sales and charter office in Gibraltar. The Denison office is located at the front steps of Gibraltar’s newest – and largest marina – Ocean Village.

The office will be led by yacht broker Mark Guy, and will be actively serving clients looking to purchase or charter a yacht in Gibraltar and the coastal areas of Spain, including Costa del Sol, Malaga, Mallorca, and Alicante.

“We’re very excited to open our first office in Europe. We’ve sold dozens of yachts throughout Europe over the past few years, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to open an office there. Gibraltar offers a unique opportunity to get in front of hundreds of yachts that visit for refueling in and out of the Med throughout both yachting seasons,” commented Bob Denison.

Mark Guy joins the Denison team, bringing years of aviation and luxury real estate experience in Europe and the Middle East. “I’ve known the Denison team for years and have been waiting for the perfect time to open a yacht sales office in Southern Europe. Our brand new office in Ocean Village is the perfect place for this to happen.”

Gibraltar is a very special place to do yachting business. Gibraltar’s favorable taxation regime, location at the entrance to the Mediterranean and status as a British Port of Registry means that potential buyers and sellers can safely transact in a British jurisdiction with minimum fuss and maximum security.

There is no VAT in Gibraltar so purchasing your next yacht here can be cheaper than many other places in Europe. Non-resident owners of boats and yachts can keep their yacht in Gibraltar without having to pay VAT or import duty.
