MCP Yachts, Brazilian Yacht-Builder Launches 43m Superyacht

Brazilian boatbuilder MCP Yachts has launched Hemisphere 140 (Raffaella II). The 43 meter (141′) yacht is hull #85 built by the company, and the largest ever built in Latin America.

Built in aluminium, the project was developed by the Shipyards in-house staff, and has taken two and a half years to complete, and involved the collaboration of Dutch naval architecture firm Vripack. The design has also been tailored to the owner’s wishes for transoceanic cruising.

In the upcoming weeks she will undergo sea trials and small finishing details before being delivered to her Brazilian owner.

This 43 meters design comply with Lloyd’s requirements and, thanks to her twin Caterpillar C32 1825 BHP engines will be able to reach a top speed of 19 knots. Under cruising speeds she will have a capability range of 4,000 nautical miles necessary to make oceanic crossings, in any weather and sea conditions.

The vessel has four decks and can accommodate 12 guests. It is equipped with twin Caterpillar C32 1825 BHP, and is able to reach a maximum speed of 19 knots.

MCP Yachts has been building boats for the past 33 years. The company has over 250 yacht designs, including a 120ft hull launched in 1994.

Headquartered in Guarujá, in the Sao Paulo state, the builder has an 18,000 square meter shipbuilding facility.
