Innovative New CNB 66 Sailing Yacht Hits Milestone

April 11, 2017 9:32 am

For the last two years, with the utmost secrecy, the CNB shipyard has been working on its new boat with Philippe Briand, Jean-Marc Piaton and Rafaël Bonet, a 20-meter yacht for family sailing: the CNB 66. Her construction is progressing and a new milestone has just been achieved, as the boat was decked this week.

The development of this new model demonstrates CNB’s drive to innovate in terms of manufacturing and design.

Indeed, the CNB 66 was integrated in the same assembly workshop as the CNB 76 – her big brother – thus highlighting the shipyard’s great agility to manage two models simultaneously.

The hull of the CNB 66 was designed with speed through the water as a priority, while retaining the offshore seakeeping qualities essential for long cruises and short-handed sailing.

As it was designed for crossing oceans and living aboard fully self-sufficiently, each item of equipment has been selected with this in mind.

This achievement has been possible thanks to a unique expertise combining a module-based construction and an unequaled command of the manufacturing quality.

Several units already sold from Mexico to New Zealand, through France and Germany. She will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 12-17, 2017.
