Kotor, Montenegro Steals Charter Broker’s Heart

Denison yacht charter broker Susan Harris recently attended the MYBA Pop-up Superyacht Show in Croatia, and while she was there explored some of the areas popular charter destinations. Here are her comments on one of her favorite destinations:

Being my first time in Croatia, I was overwhelmed with the locals’ hospitality and how magical each and every place that I visited was. One of my favorite destinations that I had the opportunity to experience while in Croatia was visited while aboard S/Y RIANA, a luxury sailing yacht that was refit in 2016.

Kotor, Montenegro, stole my heart.

As we departed Porto Montenegro and entered Kotor Bay, we saw lush greenery amongst the little towns that have a magnificent view of Stoliv Bay and then passed up close to the spectacular Lady of the Rocks island our way to Old Town Marina.

Old Town Kotor is full of history, many stunning churches, forts and people who live their entire lives in this compact town.

We sampled great wine and cheese at Kotor’s Old Town Winery. We then enjoyed dinner onboard S/Y RIANA followed by a very restful evening.

The next morning, we sailed past Dobrec, Montenegro as the sunrise amplified the beautiful colors on the mountains.
