Yacht Review: Sunseeker Predator 74 [2009–12]

April 24, 2019 1:54 pm

The Predator 74’s powerful lines are matched by best-in-class 40+ knot performance.

Overview: Aggressive styling and exciting performance characterize the Predator 74, a luxurious sport cruiser with an extensive array of state of the art features. While all Sunseeker yachts blend luxury with performance, the Predator series, in particular, is designed for maximum exhilaration at the helm. On the main deck, space in both the aft cockpit and salon is plentiful — the perfect setting for entertaining family and friends. Forward on the starboard side is the interior helm station with seating for three and a chart table to port. The galley and staterooms are below.

The standard layout provides a full-beam master with large ensuite head, a twin guest cabin to starboard, and VIP stateroom forward with ensuite facilities. A large full-service galley to port has a separate seating/dining area which has may be configured as a separate Pullman cabin with twin berths. Crew quarters with twin berths are accessed from the transom, and the aft garage provides space for a tender or jet ski. MAN 1550hp V12 diesels cruise the 74 Predator at 24–26 knots (low to mid 30s top). Optional 1800hp MANs reach a top speed of 40 knots. A new Predator 74 model came out in 2018.

Price: Early (2009) start at over $1 million.
