MIMI LA SARDINE is a 110’ Explorer Yacht built by Cantiere Delle Marche in Ancona, Italy. She made her international debut at the Cannes Boat Show in September of 2019.
She’s the 5th hull in CdM’s Nauta Air 110 series of pocket expedition yachts, boasting 280 gross tons.Exterior and interior styling were completed by Nauta Yachts, while all engineering was designed by Sergio Cutulo’s HydroTec.
Before, we spend a few minutes describing her incredible interior, her build details and engine room must be highlighted. Bob Denison personally viewed her during the show and can’t stop talking about Sergio’s impact on the design and engineering of the engine room and mechanical spaces.
“I’ve never been on board a yacht this size that features an engine room as big as this one. Not only is everything laid out perfectly with redundant systems, wiring properly labeled, and all maintenance spaces easily accessible, but the actual space of the engine room is massive. It feels like you’re walking into the engine room of a proper ship.” – Bob Denison
Her robust steel and aluminum body encompasses cupro-nickel piping, remote controlled valves, and electrically driven stabilizers. All pumps are doubled and there is also a bilge oil separator. Mechanical equipment has been installed in large and properly laid out technical spaces to make access and maintenance as easy as possible.
Equally as impressive is her beachy interior, which was the talk of the Cannes Yachting Festival and was personally curated by the owner. Each interior space has been transformed into a comfortable, cozy space that recalls a beach atmosphere of a far tropical paradise.
Filippo Bevilacqua of Cantiere delle Marche’s Interior Design Dept. considers the owner’s role as “the most fruitful and effective I’ve ever experienced. Since the first meeting, her owner created a Pinterest board where we started sharing ideas and receiving incredibly precise inputs.”
CdM’s use of large windows throughout the three decks helps to relate the exterior and interior spaces, as well as her stern terraces.
MIMI LA SARDINE features several social and lounging areas which are fitted out in hand-picked materials, including weathered oakwood with muted gold accents and Bianco Galizia granite.
Up to 11 guests can be accommodated across four very large guest staterooms, all ensuite. The owner’s master suite is located on-deck and is one of the most spacious masters you will ever find on a boat this size.
She is powered by efficient and reliable Caterpillar C18’s that provide her with a range of 5,500 nautical miles at a 9-knot cruise, with a top speed of 13 knots+.
