The Bahamas has announced a plan for reopening it’s doors to travelers. The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation and the Tourism Readiness and Recovery Committee have provided their new phased approach plan for the Bahamas, starting with yachters. Starting June 15, boaters, yachters, and private aviation will be allowed to travel to the Bahamas as part of Phase 1.

What Boaters Need To Know:

  • • All travelers are expected to follow the “Healthy Traveler Campaign”, which encourages social distancing, hand washing, and pack the appropriate face masks.
  • • Boaters must complete the Maritime Declaration of Health (available online).
  • • Boaters must inform Bahamian marinas of their arrival at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • • Upon arrival, boaters who disembark must be subject to any other test mandated by Ministry of Health.
