June 23, 2020 3:32 pm

It’s been confirmed that both the BVI & USVI Charter Yacht Shows will take place this November. Charter Yacht Society of BVI’s Executive Director, Janet Oliver, and VIPCA’s Executive Director, Oriel Blake, have confirmed the dates for the annual shows, that draws over a hundred brokers to the Virgin Islands and over a hundred yachts. Sailing and power catamarans are the most popular style of yacht that participates in the shows, ranging from 40ft to 105ft. You will also find a handful of fishing trawlers, mega sailing and power yachts at the shows.

This will be Charter Yacht Society of BVI’s 39th year putting on the Charter Show. Which will be held at Nanny Cay Resort and Marina on the island of Tortola in The BVI’s, from November 8 -11, 2020. The Charter Yacht Society will be hosting its 39th annual Fall Charter Yacht Show at Nanny Cay Marina November 8th-11th 2020. The Fall Charter Yacht Show brings together the highest quality luxury charter yachts and professional crews in the sailing capital of the Caribbean. This show remains one of the longest running annual gatherings of the industry. Here is what Janet Oliver had to say about the upcoming show:

This will be VIPCA’s 4th time hosting the USVI Charter Yacht Show at Yacht Haven Grande Marina in St. Thomas. The show will run from November 12 – 15, 2020, with Denison Yachting sponsoring this year’s crew party. Here is what Oriel Blake had to say about the upcoming show in November:

“The show is a springboard into the 2021 charter season which is shaping up to be a busy one. Whilst the entire world has been put on pause, the marine life in the BVI has flourished. Daily sightings of turtles and dolphins are commonplace. Dive and snorkel spots are frequented by an even greater abundance of fish than usual. The always beautiful BVI is outdoing itself right now and next season’s charter guests will be very lucky indeed!”

“This year, the crew night pre-show will be combined with the marine vendor expo. Where the crew and marine vendors can network and collaborate on the yacht’s and crew’s needs for the upcoming charter season. All events will take a slightly different form this year, with smaller gatherings, taking into consideration the necessary safety precautions with Covid-19. We’re delighted at the number of confirmed attendees and are looking forward to another successful charter yacht show!”

Laura Jagielski will be attending both shows in November along with yacht broker/photographer/ videographer, Wiley Sharp. They look forward to these shows every year, as it’s a fantastic opportunity to preview the new charter boats, meet new crews, and visit previous yachts and crews, confirming the yachts are still being maintained to the highest standard. They also enjoy returning to The Virgin Islands, as they lived and worked there for several years. Which is a great way to stay up to date and familiar with the beaches, restaurants, snorkeling sites and resorts, throughout the islands. Which helps Laura create and customize the best charter yacht itinerary and experience for her clients.
