Broward 105 Motor Yacht Highlight [Boat Review + Video]

Marina Nazario | November 9, 2020

Explore STELLA MARIS a 105′ Broward motor yacht for sale in La Paz, Mexico. Denison yacht broker Matthew Stropes gives a tour of this vessel.

Good morning from La Paz, Mexico. Today we are here with Denison Yachting broker, Matthew Stropes to show you one of the many new listings that he represents in Mexico. Over the next handful of minutes, we’ll be showing you some of the key features that make STELLA MARIS, one of the best values on the brokerage market. At 105-feet with a 23-foot beam, this Broward offers plenty of usable deck spaces and great interior volume along with 5-staterooms, accommodating 10 guests plus crew quarters.

This yacht is ideal for large families voyaging together or for use in the charter market due to the plethora of ways that this yacht can be maximized. Powered by twin Detroit diesels, this 105 has a 17-knot cruise speed and a 21-knot max speed. She’s equipped with all of the essential large yacht options like twin generators, twin 1500 gallon per day watermakers, and shore power converters, allowing her to get power on any dock across the globe. For comfort maneuverability, she’s also equipped with stabilizers, a hydropower bow thruster, and the ability to transport a 15-foot tender up on the flybridge aft.

The tender is raised and lowered with an Opacmare davit with a 1600 pound lift capacity. Forward of the boat deck is the first of several enlarged seating areas that has a substantial section designed for lying out on. This seating even continues over to the port side the starboard lounging space serves as an al fresco dinette with the help of a table in front of the seating and a wet bar found immediately forward.

Directly above the bar is the radar arch where we see a pair of radars and KVH Sat domes assuring that you’re connected even at sea. On the forward half of the flybridge is a covered dinette just beyond the wet bar as well as where you run this boat from on the best days. But when the weather isn’t cooperating, you just step down into the wheelhouse by way of a centerline staircase from the flybridge.

Like the upper helm, the wheelhouse has seating for captain, guests, and crew. The wheelhouse offers you control over the yacht’s mechanical systems which can be accessed from the swim platform through a centerline watertight door.

As I’ve already started to mention this Broward is powered by a pair of Detroit diesel 12V 92s as well as a pair of generators 160-kw and the other is 65. Overhead of the engine room is the aft deck which is our next stop.

This area is based around a centerline teak dinette with seating for 8 or more which offers a great view of your surroundings. This dinette will be the most used venue for dining partially because of its location and partially because it’s covered by a molded hardtop. But just before or just after your meals, you’re likely to be relaxing in the aft half of the salon which serves as a great conversation pit with seating in windows to both sides.

From here, we jump into the galley where you see an area that’s well laid out with a ton of cold storage and all of the appliances you’ll need to keep your guests well-fed and impressed. Just off the galley, the crew has direct access to the crew lounge that’s found below deck. Off of this common space to port are three crew quarters. Jumping from here to the main deck foyer, we see a set of stairs offering us access to the lower guest accommodations. 4 of the 5 staterooms found on board, are in this area.

All guest accommodations have a private ensuite with showers starting with the twin stateroom. The remaining guest staterooms on the lower level have been outfitted with queen berths and discrete storage. The final accommodation onboard this Broward 105 is the on-deck master found forward on the main deck.

I’d like to thank you for joining us today in La Paz aboard this 105 Broward. Obviously, with a boat this size, you may have questions that have been left unanswered. So if you’d like any additional information on this yacht or to see her in person, you can reach out to Matthew Stropes anytime.
