Hey guys, Tony Smith with Denison Yachting. Today we’re here at The Cannes Yachting Festival in front of the 2022 Grand Trawler 62. We’re really excited about this boat and I’m going to give you a quick tour around. A few key features that you should know about the Grand Trawler 62 is that she’s designed for extended cruising. She has a terrace to the sea, hydraulic platform and a full three cabins in addition to crew quarters. One of my favorite features about the boat is the flybridge. It’s got a molded hardtop, tons of seating, two access points and a large helm.

On this oversized swim platform, there’s a couple of key features. On the port side, there’s actually stairs that retract down when this whole platform lowers. It also has integrated dinghy chocks and a very substantial swim ladder. On the port side, you’re going to notice a molded hatch. This leads down to the crew quarters, engine room and the aft head. Let’s take a quick look.

Down here in the crew quarters you’ll notice I’ve got a very nice space. Got plenty of storage here under these steps, combo washer dryer. There’s a separate head and separate enclosed shower as well as a dedicated crew quarters with two bunks in it.

Moving through this watertight bulkhead, we enter the engine room. In here I’ve got a lot of space, I really like this engine room. You see we’ve gone with the MAN turbocharged diesel engines, we have an Onan generator as well as a MC2 Quick Gyro stabilizer.

Three steps up from the swim platform, we arrive in the cockpit area. A few features that you’re going to notice about this is I’ve got an infinity view with this nice glass and the teak cap. On both the port and starboard side, I have gates that open up and we’ve got power capstans to help with the lines. One feature I want to point out here is the Adventix Docking System. This is a joystick control that integrates with the bow and stern thrusters and also engages the motors.

Moving over to the port side you’re going to see L-shaped seating and a fold-out table. This includes a stainless steel hold, cup holders and this table easily folds out. Underfoot in the cockpit, you’ll notice we have engine room access directly here. There’s a nice rugged stair and this also leads down to the crew quarters which can be accessed from the transom as well. On both port and starboard, we have these very nice molded glass doors. Now, this is great because it protects us from spray and wind when we’re underway. Before we check out the salon let’s go ahead and walk up to the flybridge.

Up here on the flybridge, it’s a perfect combination of functionality and comfort. We’ve got a protective cap here that can lower for safety reasons. We’ve got a nice stainless steel rail. In the back area here you’ll notice it’s covered with a sail right now and there’s a large davit system. I can easily store a second tender or water toy up here on the flybridge as well.

Moving forward to the midship area, you’ll notice we’ve got a great counter and wet bar here. There’s a sink, grill, cold storage, ice maker and a spot for your trash. Over here on the port side, you’re going to notice a great U-shaped seating area as well as an awesome teak table that folds out. Again, this teak table has cup holders and an integrated stainless steel grab. Traversing up to the front of the boat you’ll see I have another L-shaped seating area here. Over at the helm what you’ll notice is I’ve got two swivel seats both on bolsters. You’ll see we’ve got ship control as well as a very unique sensor system that gives us a full 360 view around the boat. We also will have our traditional chart plotter functionality as well as our engine controls. I’ve got two MAN engine displays, autopilot, trim tab control and aventex joystick and with the adventex, I can actually drive the boat sideways. This will engage the bow and stern thruster as well as the primary engines. It coordinates the motion in any direction you want to go.

The last thing that I want to point out up here is this substantial hatch. It leads down to L-shaped seating that goes into the salon. But we’re going to enter from the stern. Moving forward from the cockpit area, we enter the salon. You’ll see here I’ve got a really nice U-shaped settee and really beautiful windows that open up. Now there is an optional starboard side settee but in this configuration, they chose to go with the additional storage. We’ve got nice drawers as well as forward of that the boat actually comes equipped with all the plates, knives, cutlery and stemware that you’ll need.

Forward of the aft salon, we enter the galley area. Now, this is a really nice space. In this configuration, I’ve got plenty of visibility as well as a side door. It has a dishwasher, a very large fridge as well as the Siemens cooktop and Miele convection oven. Not only can this area be enclosed from the inside with the pocket door but there’s also a watertight door leading to the exterior of the boat.

Directly across from the galley, you’ll notice the dining table here. Now we’ve got an L-shaped bench and this table actually pivots back and forth to give us additional area to traverse through here.

Forward of the dining area, we enter the helm. At the helm, you’ll see it has two bolstered seats, a settee on the port side as well as three Raymarine displays. Just aft of that we have the L-shaped stairs that lead back up to the flybridge. From the helm area, let’s walk down below and check out the guest accommodations starting with the VIP.

Moving forward in the boat this is our VIP cabin. You see we’ve got a nice queen-size berth, behind that there’s huge windows that really give you a connection with the water. Over on the starboard side, it’s mirrored by additional windows with a hatch and a TV that pivots out. Up front we have additional storage, down below we’ve got molded-in storage and we’ve got a very nice ensuite with enclosed shower.

In the second cabin you’ll notice we have two single beds. This can be made into a queen with a filler cushion. On the outboard side, we’ve got a nice hanging locker and note the leather upholds as well as leather accent on the surfaces. Forward in this cabin you’ll note we have an ensuite with a dedicated shower stall. This head doubles as the day head for the rest of the boat.

Next we’re going to head down to the master cabin. Back here you’ll notice we have a full beam owner’s suite. There’s plenty of storage that’s all integrated in and has several little nooks and crannies. Both port and starboard, you’ll notice the large windows with hatches that open for additional ventilation. Centerline you’ll see a king-size berth as well as additional storage here on the port and a nice integrated vanity with a large mirror. In this hanging locker they have a really unique feature. It’s nice and deep, if you have dresses and you still have additional storage on the front side. The ensuite master here features a very large shower stall with integrated seat, very nice counter and storage underneath as well as an electric head.

Up here in the bow what you’ll see is I’ve got a large walkway, easy to hold stainless steel rails as well as we’ve got a lot of integrated storage. On both port and starboard, we have large lockers here that are designed to hold your fenders, ropes and any other running gear. This entire area can be covered with a canopy and there’s posts available to set that up.

The large sun pad really stands out to me. It’s designed to form into a chase lounge on either side and can easily be put into the position here as well as it’s got forward-facing seating. So you can have four people seated on this sunpad very nicely. Note the multiple drink holders for mobile devices and beverages. As we walk up to the bow what you’re going to notice is there’s two substantial lockers here. We’ve got a capstan, running gear, a nice stainless steel anchor as well as fusion speakers. There’s plenty of room up here for lines and fenders and we’ve got direct access to the chain. You’ll note on either side that there’s substantial ladders, so you can get down there to service the area or to take advantage of the storage.
