Vessel History

The yacht was built in 1987 as an 86 foot Azimut and spent 10 years time around the UK.

In 1996 the yacht was purchased and transported to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1997 she was removed from the water to commence a major refit. For the next 7 years the yacht underwent a transformation from 86 foot to 102 ft with the addition of an extra VIP cabin to the rear. This also added a lot of extra area to the rear deck and fly bridge. An extra VIP cabin was added to the front deck, all the time maintaining (and in fact improving) the striking Azimut lines. Most of the interior was redesigned and new engines and running gear were also fitted. The yacht was re-launched as a NEW 102′ yacht in 2004.

The current owner purchased the yacht in October 2007, at which point he spent over $100,000 outfitting the yacht with a 18-ft tender, spare propellers, NEW air-conditioning, NEW 30kw generator, diving gear, fishing gear, water toys, and other necessary charter equipment. He then sailed the yacht to the BVI and set up a charter operation for her. The yacht is currently located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she is full-time captain and crew-maintained and is available for purchase.

Accommodations
After her extensive refit in 2004 (over $3.4 million spent), TEXAS STAR boasts the finest in luxury accommodations. She offers 5 staterooms (1 full walkaround kingsize, 3 full walkaround queensize, and 1 double). This provides generous accommodation for 10 guests. In addition, there are 3 separate crew cabins providing crew accommodation of up to 5.
