I wanted to put into words just how much my family and I appreciate the amazing experience we had working with you and the Denison team.

I hope the following testimonial will help other sellers make the best decision in their boat selling strategy which is hiring Russ Schaffer of Denison Yachts to do what he does so well – sell his client’s yachts quickly and at a fair price – a win-win for both the buyer and seller.

After the passing of my step-father, selling the boat he and my mother loved, was one of the most daunting and time-sensitive tasks. Each month we continued to pay the hefty expenses added to our already mournful and anxiety-ridden emotional situation.

We had our boat listed with another broker for 6 months and during that time we had one serious prospect and about 5 other buyers who visited the boat but appeared to be more tire kickers than motivated buyers.

Russ was referred to us by a yacht owner that had a slip where our boat was located. He shared that he had bought and sold 5 yachts through Russ and vouched for his and his family’s reputation – stating that if we were serious about selling our boat, that Denison is the best in the biz.

Russ and his digital marketing specialist Drew drove 3 hours to our boat, staged it for an inside photo shoot and took it out to shoot a video using a drone – very high-tech! The video was so awesome – it made me want to keep the boat.

Leveraging their robust online marketing network – we received 3 calls within 2 hours of our listing going live. Within a week, we had 3 showings scheduled and our first offer 2 1/5 weeks later.

Russ was proactive and savvy, giving me guidance on how to evaluate the offers from price to survey and closing. This resulted in me countering on an offer and standing my ground which made it possible for me to entertain another offer simultaneously which ended up being the deal we closed on - just shy of 2 weeks after the offer was excepted and a week and 3 days after the survey.

From day one, working with Jeff Erdmann was something a bit different.  If you are a boater, you most likely have run into brokers who are pretty high on the 'never care to talk to that person again.'  Jeff was different, and it wasn't just that he was attentive and demonstrably conscientious, we were having conversations at a distance, which by most situations, would have made working with a broker a very painful activity.  

Jeff is someplace in Florida in the US and I live on the island of Mallorca, off the coast of Spain in the Mediterranean.  After countless emails back and forth, and shedloads of questions from me, Jeff had pretty much impressed me as someone I might want to deal with.  We flew over to the Caribbean (the boat was located in St. Martin) and after seeing the boat for the first time, I contacted Jeff and explained the speed with which I wanted to make all this happen.

Jeff, who to be fair, undoubtedly does have a life, and recognizably does have other clients, explained that my timeline was going to be problematic for him to breakaway and fly down to work all this through.  After another phone call, Jeff worked out how we could buy the boat, whilst at the same time, working with the broker (Jeff), but never actually meeting him face to face.  Within a few days, everything had been worked through and after what seemed at the time to be piles of papers to be signed, I ordered a wire transfer and sailed away on my new boat.  

The big question is whenever one works with a broker is, 'would you recommend this broker to anyone else?  Or even more importantly, would you recommend this broker to a good friend?"  My answer is that I most certainly would.
