I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what a pleasure it was working with George on the purchase of our 2006 Sea Ray 440.
I have been looking for a Sea Ray for the last twelve months primarily on the West Coast but with not much luck either in the price or condition (as well as wanting diesels, not gas engines). I had heard through our yacht club (West Coast Yacht Club – Dana Point) that Denison was a good company to work with if we were going to look in Miami. I called the general number and George answered the phone and right from the start he impressed me with his knowledge and advice. Even though he was going to be away when I had a trip planned (a weekend cruise) he set up for us to see boats on the Friday and the following Monday with Eddy being our host (who also did a great job running us around and setting up additional boats to see). We ended up seeing a lot of boats and decided we wanted to move on the Sea Ray 44.
Throughout the process, George was really helpful and explained everything required to submit our offer and then the purchase process.
The seller was a challenge but we managed with George’s organizational skills to book the sea trial and the survey plus haul out all on the 10th of June with me flying in on the evening of the 9th.
The captain and Chet, the surveyor, were excellent choices and despite the pouring rain, we accomplished all of our goals.
As I mentioned, the seller was very challenging but working with Russ Schafer and George we got the deal done and George very kindly moved the boat to a temporary slip and then drove it for the haul out and transfer to the truck, overseeing the process, for me (which was really important for me).
Having been in capital sales management for over 20 years building great teams and communication are two key elements for my success and I wanted to let you know George did a great job with Eddy and Russ as strong team members!
I believe that tonight I have finally executed the CAOV for the boat we’ve been working on buying for some time, DeepBlue1.
I just want to say that George Ottoni has been very diligent and persistent in pursuing all the negotiating points of this transaction, and has done well looking out for our interests.
He has guided me through this process and helped with every detail, and has made this whole process an enjoyable adventure.
It has been a long project and he has patiently helped us look at more boats that I count right now, but I think we are finally closing on the best boat option of all the things we’ve looked at.
I certainly couldn’t have gotten to this point with George.
Thank you so very much for finding someone who will love and enjoy the Nordic Tug READY. Your diligent approach to representing the READY truly paid off.
Taking time to learn about the special features of the Nordic Tug showed great dedication to the project because you had to invest much more effort in a boat you will probably never represent again in San Diego.
You were always there to answer my questions and advise me on how best to present the boat and what corrections and additions would benefit the presentation and which would make no difference.
Thank you again, and I will certainly be recommending you and Denison Yachts to my friends who are looking to buy and to sell boats.
I hope all goes smoothly with the completion of this transfer, and, it goes without saying that I certainly appreciate all that you have done to make it happen!
We can't wait to get on the water again, it's been a long dry year without a boat after 25 years with one.
It was not easy finding the right boat to move from sail to power, but in Windward we found everything we wanted.
Thank you Skip Denison for helping in all the ways you did!
