About Niko
Niko was raised in Seattle, Washington, where he developed a passion for boats and the outdoors at a young age. Growing up salmon fishing and crabbing with his uncles on the Salish Sea sparked his interest in boating. In 2014, he began his career in the yachting industry as a deckhand, with his first job being an Atlantic Crossing aboard a 148-foot Perini Navi sailing yacht.
Over the years, Niko worked his way up through the ranks, eventually serving as both an engineer and captain aboard a variety of yachts. He holds a USCG 200-Ton Master License and a USCG Qualified Member of the Engine Department (QMED) endorsement. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive hands-on experience in vessel operations, maintenance, refits, deliveries, and yacht management, working aboard yachts throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and along both the East and West Coasts of the United States.
When Niko isn't working on or captaining a boat, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors. Camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and biking are among his favorite activities. He also enjoys working on his own boats, cars, and trucks, and always seems to have a project underway.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in the yachting industry, Niko returned to his Pacific Northwest roots and brings a unique perspective to yacht brokerage. His background as both a captain and engineer gives him a deep understanding of not only how boats perform, but also how they are built, maintained, and operated.
