Some yachts simply feel bigger than their length on paper and TRUE NORTH is one of them. In his latest walkthrough, Denison Yachting broker Peter Quintal steps aboard this 2011 Hargrave Custom 136' tri-deck motor yacht to share his five favorite features. With 353 gross tons of volume, over seven feet of headroom throughout, and a fresh refit behind her, TRUE NORTH punches well above her class in the 40-meter market.
Here's what stood out.
1. A Galley Built for a 60-Meter Yacht
The first thing Peter points out is the galley and for good reason. It's the kind of space you'd expect to find on a yacht half again her size. Outfitted with a Viking six-burner range, Miele oven and dishwasher, twin SubZero refrigerators and freezers, and a dedicated SubZero wine unit holding up to 78 bottles across two temperature-controlled zones, this is a working galley that can genuinely support a full charter program or an owner who loves to entertain. Caesar Stone countertops, floor-to-ceiling pantry storage, and a generous mahogany island round it out.
2. An On-Deck Master with 7'2" Headroom
The master cabin sits on the main deck a layout prized in this size range and the headroom is what you notice first. At over seven feet, it carries throughout the entire main level, giving the suite a sense of openness that's rare aboard a 40-meter yacht. The master head is a showpiece in its own right: a 60-inch frameless curved-glass shower, a custom Pharo whirlpool tub, twin raised Italian sinks, and a mosaic floor crafted from Sicis waterglass tiles. As Peter puts it, it's tremendous.
And here's the bonus that surprises everyone: TRUE NORTH has a true family suite. The forward starboard VIP stateroom connects to a bunk room with two berths and removable guardrails, perfect for keeping young children close to their parents. How many yachts in this category can say that?
3. A Sky Lounge Big Enough for Pickleball
Peter's words, not ours — the sky lounge is so expansive you could almost set up a pickleball court. In reality, it's dressed for relaxing: a full bar with icemaker, a 65" TV with dual US/European programming, a Denon surround sound system, a round mahogany dining table, and wheat ultrasuede wall panels lit by Italian BCM fixtures. It's the natural gathering spot when the sun goes down and the aft decks wind up.
4. Five Staterooms, Twelve Guests, and Real Volume
Beyond the highlights in the video, the numbers tell the story. TRUE NORTH accommodates up to 12 guests across five staterooms plus the bunk room, with crew quarters for eight. She's built to full RINA Unrestricted Classification, recently completed her 15-year class inspections and an extensive six-month yard period in January 2026, and received a full exterior paint job in 2024. Fresh, proven, and turn-key.
5. The Sundeck Where Everyone Ends Up
The top level is TRUE NORTH's social heart. A massive outdoor bar anchors the space, flanked by a centerline six-person jacuzzi, opposing shaded seating, an outdoor kitchen with barbecue, and tender storage aft. As Peter says in the video, this is where everybody hangs out during sunsets and with views from the third level of a 136-footer, it's easy to see why.

TRUE NORTH is a 2011 Hargrave Custom Tri-Deck with a 27-foot beam and a shallow 7'5" draft, ideal for the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Twin Caterpillar C32 engines (1,825 hp each) deliver a 12-knot cruise, a 17-knot top end, and roughly 3,000 nautical miles of range from her 10,500 gallon fuel capacity. Naiad zero-speed stabilizers keep her steady at anchor and underway.
