Description

$18,000 Price drop May 9th!

Very well maintained Grand Banks downeaster, ready to explore the Pacific Northwest and more.

"Coastal Dame" is a very well-maintained Grand Banks 39 Eastbay SX, which is GB's line of downeaster style fast cruisers. She cruises easily at 18-22 knots on twin Caterpillar C-7s (455 HP each). She has nice accommodations for a cruising couple and can handle rough seas with ease. Spacious enough to entertain guests for day cruises. She has a Flag Blue deep-V hull that looks great. The current owner keeps her in dry heated storage during winters.

This vessel features a large aft open cockpit with a padded bench, and teak decking. Going to the foredeck is easy, as to port and starboard there are two steps to get to the sidedecks, and grab rails along the way. Recently repainted nonskid decks and tall stainless-steel railings make the access even easier to go prepare to moore, or enjoy the views.

Going inside, there is a comfortable living space. The interior is richly finished with teak and holly flooring and teak cabinetry and bulkheads. The salon has an L-shaped settee to port with cushions in beige microsuede, with a wood table; across from it is a storage with a mini-fridge, shelving, and a large countertop for a TV. The windows are bonded, frameless, and integrated into the deck house to reduce the chance of leaks and limit maintenance. Plenty of fresh air is available from the hydraulic opening windshield center section, along with sliding windows to port and starboard, and two opening hatches above the helm seats. The helm is to starboard, with great visibility, and a top-notch Stidd chair in beige leatherette. Across the companionway to Port is another Stidd chair, and a chart table with storage.

Going down the companionway a couple of steps, there is a large plush settee to port that can sit 4 to 6 (by adding chairs), cabinetry, and the AC and DC panels. The table can drop down, and if you added a cushion (not available) the settee could sleep two in a pinch. There are overhead opening hatches and stainless-steel ports. Across is the Galley with Corian countertop, 2-burner electric stove, an extra-large convection microwave oven, and fridge with freezer under the counter, with good storage. Open a beautiful, curved wood door just aft and you'll find a spacious head with a separate enclosed shower, Vacuflush head, and plenty of storage and fan and natural ventilation. Finally, the master stateroom has roomy storage space in the lockers and plenty of drawers, and a queen island berth centerline. This cabin is richly finished with teak paneling, giving the roomy a warm feel.

"If there’s one boat nameplate that evokes classic style, it’s Grand Banks. Since the company launched its Eastbay series a decade ago, the Downeast-style express cruiser has carried on the tradition. So why would you change an icon? The new 39 Eastbay SX is an evolutionary update to the popular 38 Eastbay. The recognizable lines are still there, but they’re softer and more contemporary. Subtle curves appear in the superstructure instead of hard edges and angles. Those graceful, sweeping lines are a hint of what’s inside — a tasteful blend of wood, fabric and leather that’s an exceptionally comfortable living space for a cruising couple." - Boating World

Available to see by appointment in Anacortes, WA, just 90 minutes north of Seattle. She is kept in dry heated storage all winter.
