Her main differences from the 44 GT are the new sexier lines designed by the famous Nuvolari-Lenard architects and her incredibly spacious re-designed cockpit layout including two large lazy-boy seats in the aft section of the cockpit. 

She is now equipped with Beneteau's patented air step design and Volvo's IPS 600s. This powerful combination gives her incredible efficiency and performance. 

The new 46 also offers the option to enclose the cockpit with uniquely designed glass doors giving her owner the option to entertain or cruise in any weather.

The Air Step 2 is an evolution and an improvement on the first generation, based on customer experience and Beneteau's in-house research and development. 

The basic principle remains the same: a V step with lateral chines for perfect grip when turning. 

The step creates an "air cushion" under the hull which reduces drag thus providing better performance and a significant cushioning during passage through choppy waters. 

The Air Step 2 in Figures:

• 3 x more air under the underwater portion of the hull thanks to the air inlets placed directly under the hull
• 1.5 knots fast than the GT 44 (same load)
• 1,500 lbs more aboard and still the same performance. This means more equipment and more comfort for the same performance. 
• Compatible with IPS: IPS Compatibility has been endorsed with more than 300 hours of testing in all weather and sea conditions
