Manufacturer's Description

BRING YOUR ENTOURAGE

Take your tribe with you in the Wakesetter 247 LSV because this baby holds 17 people. That's right - it's designed to encourage the very social wakeboarding lifestyle, so no one gets left behind. Think of it as your stretch limo on the water. Everything is designed with convenience in mind. For example, new rear-facing transom seating offers flip-up wet storage accessible from the swim step. The new single spoke Italian-made Isotta steering wheel, the response of the Malibu ZF Shifter with Shift by Wire and rack and pinion steering make driving a pleasure. And if it's more power you want, you will love the new 6.0L L96 Indmar Engine. This standard small block pumps out 410 horsepower with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) for zero compromise on either end of the performance spectrum.

STAGE PRESENCE

The Wakesetter 247 LSV has theater-style LED interior lighting, including cast stainless side panel pieces that spill backlighting into the lounge. The interior can also be infused with huge sound by accepting the Malibu-RockfordFosgate sound system with 8-inch mids. It's big and beautiful, but that doesn't mean difficult. In fact, the Weightless Fold-down Illusion G3 Wakeboard Tower is so easy to fold down, that even a fully-accessorized model can be folded to clear a bridge or fit in a garage by anyone in less than a minute.

INNOVATION NOT IMITATION

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then we are extremely flattered by our competitors. Thanks to the original thinking of our creative engineers and their passion for technology, we are first to market with so many new ideas it’s hard for other boat companies to keep up. Our inspired design has one purpose – to enhance your experience on the water. Take a look and you will see original Malibu ideas everywhere – from the Illusion G3 Gas Spring Assisted wakeboard tower with weightless fold-down, to the MaliView Dash and Entertainment System, to the Patented Power Wedge with Auto-Wedge, and the new Malibu Touch Command (MTC) featuring a projective capacitive touch screen offering touch screen interaction and control of wake enhancement, lighting, ignition and more.

MALIVIEW / POWER WEDGE / RIDER PRESETS - CREATE YOUR OWN 15 MINUTES OF FAME

Malibu Boats are designed for peak water sports performance and ease of use. The available MaliView Dash System increases the size of the in-dash LCD to 6.5 inches and transforms the display to color with home theater-style resolution, visible in full sun. The new Malibu Touch Command (MTC) touch screen gives you touch switching control over safety and performance features, independent of Malibu’s Rider Presets. As much as 1450 pounds of sub-floor hard-tank quad ballast can be adjusted with a simple touch of MTC, as can interior and exterior lighting, the Power Wedge, and boat system features.

THE ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMIZABLE WAKES

The optional, patented, Power Wedge comes with Auto Wedge – an exclusive safety and performance feature. The Auto Wedge will take over and deploy the wake-making apparatus once the boat reaches 75% of the set-speed. This saves fuel and cuts down on time-to-plane by nearly 35% Then big customizable wakes are yours. For specific personal skill growth, create your own preset or modify one from the factory. And now, use the MTC touch screen to stow, deploy, or adjust the Power Wedge.

THAT PERSONAL TOUCH

Choose from seven factory presets and customize as many as ten to get your Malibu ready for the next milestone in your riding. Rider Presets are customizable profiles that control ballast levels, speed and Power Wedge position when applicable. Push a button and throttle up.

DRIVERS TEST

Once you're behind the wheel you can really understand the distinct differences in performance. Which is why our driver’s cockpits are designed to make the experience behind the wheel invigorating. Innovations like the new Malibu Touch Command (MTC) has once again pushed Malibu driver control to fun new heights. MTC offers useful features like graphical ballast and lighting zone controls, with the convenience and security of coded, keyless ignition standard. The MaliView 6.5” color LCD with was the first of its kind in the

marine industry. Malibu knows the boat’s not going anywhere without a satisfied driver and that is why so much function and style has been built into this area of the boat.

CAN TOUCH THIS

The new Malibu Touch Command (MTC) projected capacitive touch screen gives you touch switching control over safety and performance features, independent of Malibu’s Rider Presets. As much as 1450 pounds of sub-floor hard-tank quad ballast can be adjusted with a simple touch of MTC, as can interior and exterior lighting, and boat system features. It also gives you complete command of the patented Power Wedge. With just a touch it can be deployed, stowed or adjusted anywhere between 400 and 1200 pounds of displacement.

CONSTRUCTION / IF YOU BUILD IT RIGHT THEY WILL COME

We just can’t do it any other way. Malibu construction is comprised of the finest materials and put into place with proven production practices. We don’t build boats this way because it is easier or inexpensive. We do it because it is the right way and gets us closer to our goal of building the best boat possible. And one of the things we do right is designing for solid performance with exceptional luxury. From the gel coat, to the Perfect Surface lamination procedure, to the FibECS fiberglass chassis system, to the industry’s only in-house tower design and manufacturing, Malibu has tested and perfected the quality of materials through every step of the boat-building process. We are confident you will be able to tell the difference, because the truth is on the water.

PERFORMANCE / WHEN WE'RE ON, YOU'RE ON

Malibu Boats are optimized for peak performance on the water – across all disciplines – so you can focus on your performance. Hulls are individually engineered for disciplines on both ends of the wake and speed spectrum. Add Malibu’s water sports-specific features and get the right tool for the job. If you lean toward greater versatility, including slalom, we suggest our Diamond or Cut Diamond hull. If you prefer big wake disciplines, go with the Malibu Wake Hull. These hulls don’t lock you into these sports. They give you the advantage of precise design when you need it and the versatility to do it all. Gorilla fins, standard on all

Sport-V Malibus, offer greater tracking, stability and handling by virtue of their size and custom design. Our exclusive Shift by Wire Throttle system is unlike anything you may have experienced in a boat. You will love the fingertip control of and precision you get with wireless shifting between forward, neutral and reverse.

HIGHER POWER

Malibu Boats power offerings are designed and calibrated for peak performance in Malibu boats. This exclusive power has made the difference in 14 world records and 8 consecutive Boat of the Year awards. This kind of success is only possible because of the close working partnership we share with Indmar Marine Engines. Power plants are rigorously tested with each Malibu boat and hull design. Expect high-level performance even from a standard engine offering in a Malibu boat. Indmar has worked with Malibu engineers to pump-up the 2011 engine line-up with two more heavy hitters sure to get a thumbs-up from motor heads and water sports-faithful alike. The L96 6.0L 410 horse power engine features 400 foot-pounds of torque to power the performance you want.

INTERIOR / PINCH ME

Malibu Boats are built for luxury, comfort and durability, covered in 38oz Duraguard™ G&T Marine Vinyl and secured with French stitched SolarFix® PTFE thread built to withstand the most extreme marine environments. Side panels are designed with handcovered parts, oversized stainless steel cup holders, LED lighting, cast stainless steel emblems, available Rockford Fosgate speakers and a 12-volt power source. Interior lighting can be controlled by the Malibu Touch Command (MTC) touch screen. Tap a lighting zone and the theater-style LED lights come up.

HEROES / DEFINING MOMENTS

Everyone has choices that influence their decisions and define their direction. At Malibu, innovative ideas define who we are. We refer to our innovative ideas as heroes, and our heroes will delight you. You won't find Malibu heroes in other tow boats.

NAME THAT HERO

Malibu heroes include exclusive features like the Malibu Titan Spinner Combo Rack - a rack that accepts wake and surf boards, swivels to three locking positions and offers a trick slide-off feature for easy storage. They include well-placed ice chests, easily stow-able walk-through wind blocks, oversized biminis, Italian-made Isotta Vista steering wheel and the LED-lit, hand-wrapped side panel.

There’s a whole band of improvements on areas that our competitors neglect to count as heroes. That means details such as stainless steel cup holders and cast stainless grab handles, as well as above engine storage, are heroes in the Malibu story. But most are elements the other guys haven’t even thought of. Features like a necessary, but tucked away waste bin, give Malibu boaters the power and space they need to have fun on the water.

I/O VS V-DRIVE / PEACE OF MIND

There’s really no comparing our Luxury Sport-V series performance to that of an I/O, but we don’t mind if you do. Our LSV models beat I/Os hands down for safety, performance and convenience in design. Spacious wrap-around lounges, walk-through wind blocks, pop-up pylons and theater-style LED interior lighting are just a few of the standout features of our LSV series. Performance is built in with the series-specific hull design, Gorilla fins, electronic shift and throttle control, Precision Pro speed control and the new Malibu Touch Command (MTC) with keyless ignition.

A VISIBLE DIFFERENCE The difference in a Malibu Sport V and a stern drive is visible through the windshield. Unlike the stern drive, as you increase your speed in a Malibu Sport V you never lose sight of the horizon – reducing the risk of not seeing a fallen skier or swimmer. And you can stay seated the entire time, because the Sport V is designed to run flatter and smoother.

TURN TURN TURN When an I/O turns it needs a lot of lake to accommodate its wide, unwieldy radius. Not so with a Malibu LSV. Our hull design, with our unique tracking fins, turns on a dime, bringing to mind the maneuverability of the finest sports cars. We designed it that way, because we appreciate performance. You will appreciate it too. And by the way, it’s absolutely true that you can pull your Malibu Luxury Sport V right up to the beach, thanks to our Sport-V configuration.

SAFETY ISN’T A LUXURY Swim platforms should be approachable without concern for safety. In the Sport V, they are. The propulsion design on a Malibu LSV is tucked neatly under the hull, not hanging out where anyone swimming close to the boat risks accident and injury.

OWNERSHIP / SMILE YOU’RE IN A MALIBU

Despite Malibu Boats’ industry leading stats, we gauge success by the level of satisfaction our boat owners enjoy. The Malibu Boats ownership experience is not about a list of awards, a bottom line or spreadsheet data; it’s about Malibu boat owners. We don’t build boats the easy way, we build them the best way, and we don’t go the extra mile in customer service because it’s easy. We do it because it’s the right thing to do and it directly benefits our customers.
