'Rare Form' is a pristine 1967 Sportsman that has just completed a major restoration in 2020. Fresh varnish, hullsides, new flooring and upholstery have her looking show ready! This 'open' model is the ideal layout for entertaining larger groups, yet has a cozy feel when cruising with just two. Enjoy the confidence in knowing that this vessel has had perfect stewardship. Painstaking care over it's 53 year life are evident from the top to bottom. Not only has this attention focused on cosmetics, but this Lyman has had an entire new bottom including stringers, frames and covering boards.

Original factory build sheet is also available upon request.Vessel Options: Mechanical equipment and engine details:All electrical has been upgraded with a new breaker panel and battery controls. The engines are original GM 327's and have the rebuild tags on the valve covers. New alternators and fresh rebuilds of water pumps in 2019.

Canvas and hardtop:All upholstered seating/cushions were made and installed in 2020. Custom fabricated Bimini top has been added utilizing top quality umbrella fabric and 1 inch aluminum framing. It was designed with ease of use and can be quickly deployed or retracted.

Trailer:Custom built V birth trailer with 3 axles and surge braking. Bearings re-packed in 2019. Side note: This trailer has been used for storage and the 10 mile trip to and from launch. Not advisable for high-speed cross-country hauling.

Accommodations-furnishings-layout:A V-birth cuddy with venting porthole in the bow. Porta-potty has been removed during restoration, but room for a new unit has been framed in.

Electronics and navigation equipment:Gauges have been updated with Stewart Warner Marine instrumentation (white with chrome bezel). All switches are period correct yet are upgraded underneath the dash. She is outfitted with dual chrome Buell air horns with their own air compressor system.

Electrical systems:12 V electrical system, 2 new batteries installed in 2020.
