38' C&C 1987

C&C Yachts built a strong reputation throughout the 1970s and 1980s for producing performance-oriented sailboats that combined speed, solid construction, and practical cruising layouts. Designed and built in Canada, C&C models from this era are well regarded for their responsive sailing characteristics and ability to perform equally well on the racecourse or during coastal cruising. The C&C 38 MkIII, introduced in the mid-1980s, represents a shift toward a more modern performance cruiser design. With increased beam, improved interior volume, and a refined hull shape compared to earlier C&C models, the 38 MkIII delivers a balanced sailing experience with strong upwind performance and comfortable onboard accommodations. Its masthead sloop rig and fin keel configuration make it a capable and versatile platform for a wide range of sailing conditions. PERFORMANCE CRUISER • ALL NEW CANVAS • PROVEN C&C DESIGN PEDIGREE Known for its stiffness and balanced helm, the 38 MkIII is well suited for sailors looking to blend club racing with comfortable cruising. The layout offers practical use of space both on deck and below, while maintaining the sailing performance C&C is known for. Whether you are stepping into performance cruising or looking for a capable racer-cruiser, this model continues to be a strong contender in its class.
