Construction: 3D VAIL vacuum-infused fiberglass with closed-cell foam sandwich core on hull sides and solid fiberglass below the waterline. Deck is hand-laid composite with end-grain balsa core.

The Elan Impression 40 is a sleek, performance-oriented cruising yacht designed by Rob Humphreys. Built with advanced 3D VAIL vacuum technology, she combines strength, durability, and lightweight performance. Her balanced hull shape and responsive rig deliver excellent sailing characteristics, whether for coastal day sailing or bluewater passages.

All rigging lines are led safely to the cockpit for ease of handling and short-handed sailing. The twin wheel / single rudder system provides exceptional control and handling, even in demanding conditions.

Interior

The spacious salon is filled with natural light from the large deckhouse windows, complemented by LED lighting throughout. Finished in blond oak laminate with white velveteen upholstery, the interior offers a bright and modern ambiance. Designed for extended cruising, she features ample storage, generous seating, and a practical galley.
