40' Ocean 1999

The 1999 Ocean Yachts 40 is a highly acclaimed sportfishing and family cruising vessel designed by David Martin, available in two main configurations: the 40 Super Sport (SS) (a convertible flybridge) and the 40 Sport Fish (Express / Open). Both models utilize a modified-V hull powered by twin Caterpillar 3126 (420 HP) engines,

The 1999 Ocean Yachts 40 Open (also heavily marketed as the 40 Express or 40 Sport Fish) features a highly innovative, split-level layout designed by David Martin. By raising the bridge deck significantly higher than a standard express boat, the builder cleverly squeezed a two-stateroom, mid-cabin layout below decks with surprising headroom—a rarity for an open sportfisherman of this size.
