The Catalina 42 MKII had a long and successful production with over 300 built starting in 1995.It has earned an international reputation as a leader in her class. The design performs well and is comfortable to cruise. The Catalina 42 MKII is excellent choice for long distance cruising or coastal cruising in comfort. This model is the 2 cabin 2 head version with a pullman berth forward and the second cabin aft. It has a large galley area with tons of storage. 

She is a 2-cabin configuration with an enclosed shower in the forepeak followed by a full head. There is a Pullman berth to port with considerable storage to port and starboard.  The nav station is to starboard along with a loveseat settee. Dickenson heater in cabin as well as engine driven heat. 

The port side L shaped galley features a gimbaled Force 10 three burner stove with oven, deep double sinks with cover, microwave oven, stovetop cover/cutting board. 12.6 cu/ft 12v refrigeration with top and front door access and a top access, deep well for dry storage or conversion to fridge/freezer. There is very generous pantry storage aft and even more storage in the “garage” aft of that.

The starboard midship head features private access from the aft berth as well as the main cabin and is equipped with shower capability and a shower sump. Aft and to starboard is the second cabin with a full size berth and plenty of storage.
