OWNER WANT THIS TO BE THE NEXT 42C TO SELL
Wilco will go off the market at the end of May.
There are NO disappointments here!
You will not find a nicer or/ better kept Silverton 42C!
Probably the finest 42C to come on the market. Meticulously loved and maintained by very knowledgeable and mechanically inclined owner for the last 15 years. 940 hours on trouble-free Cummins Diamond Series 450hp diesels. Complete new Furuno Electronics Suite including radar, GPS, AIS, Autopilot, MFD, Console Repeater, Fluxgate compass, rudder position indicator and depth transducer. Both HVAC units recently replaced. VHF-FM, Stereo renewed. Cockpit Raritan Icecrete 1 year old. Vacu-flush head, vacuum unit and all sanitary hoses renewed last year. V-berth and 2nd cabin wall coverings renewed recently. 10 section bridge enclosure 2 years old. Boat has spent its entire life in the Chesapeake Bay and never fished. Cruises effortlessly at 2000 rpm doing 17 knots and burning approximately 1 gal/mile. While 1000 hour engine maintenance has yet to be done, turbo aftercoolers and heat exchangers are essentially marine growth free and can be postponed for the near future but should ultimately be done. Gel coat shines as new. Boat currently winterized and located in Deltaville VA. You can buy them cheaper, but if you are looking for an updated, never abused, trouble-free 42C, this is it.
Well respected, seaworthy and loved by many, the Silverton 42 convertible is a contemporary flybridge sedan with spacious interior and large cockpit. The 42’ Silverton is a favorite choice for family cruisers and anglers alike. The distinctive recognizable design with its rakish hardtop and aggressive sheer line continue to make this timeless quality build sustainably in demand. Built on a proven sturdy solid fiberglass hull design deployed in Silverton’s production of the earlier Silverton 41 Convertible. The two-stateroom interior of the Silverton 42 is a tasteful blend of beautiful cherry woodwork and earth-tone fabrics. You will find an island double berth located in the forward master stateroom, and another double in the VIP guest stateroom to port. Additional sleeping in pull-out salon sofa and in the dinette area. Important note, that the oversized separate shower compartment is found to port, opposite the starboard head as you pass through the spacious galley. The galley with ample door and drawer storage coupled with the significant counter surface is comfortable for a “5-star chef”. But best for the kids and crew to enjoy.
On deck, the cockpit has an engine room access door as well as a transom door and built-in tackle center. Molded large tread steps ascend to the flybridge, with its centerline helm and bench seating forward. Additional features include very wide side decks, with comfortable handrails to transition forward and aft. The integrated bow pulpit will hold your ground tackle with windlass and large wet locker. Back inside large cabin windows, overhead rod storage locker and media center are some of the features found in the salon.
Note when new, the molded hardtop found above the flybridge, was a “Special Premium Option”. The 42’ Silverton is a capable performer with twin 430hp Cummins diesels. Long range and cruising speed will fit most all demands.

The Silverton 42 Convertible offers incredible accommodations with luxurious appointments. A wide hardtop-crowned flybridge provides plentiful seating and storage. The command helm provides good visibility, and the controls are at the captain's fingertips. The unique molded steps are great for accessing the bridge - no more ladders to bump those knees. The cockpit is tournament ready, and with the addition of the optional Fish-Pac, owners can outfit the 42 to the gunnels. The split head and shower arrangement make cleaning up easy.
