Manufacturer Provided Description

The Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht when first launched made a real statement. For outstanding good looks and styling, she simply … stood out. Now the 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition takes this movie-star magnetism into the next dimension.

A new exterior color palette of silver, black and white conspires to bring artful lines into sharp relief. As befits a Platinum Edition model, it exudes elegance and power; as if bursting to break free from the marina into open water.

Topping it all off, the Riviera Platinum Silver hardtop and targa meld with the black wrap-around windshield, rakish black boot stripe and full length black hull windows to lend an air of sophisticated mystery.

Inspiring to look at, even more thrilling to command. Introducing the new Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition.

She embodies stunning new design highlights and lines, scintillating performance from the dynamic new Volvo IPS 800 twin diesel engines and a host of new refinements bow to stern, cockpit to helm, master stateroom to engine room. A "Series II" in every sense.

Its flowing indoor-outdoor living plan shines brighter than ever with more luxury touches and practical enhancements. The accommodation deck is even more spacious and welcoming. And the helm, a picture in gleaming silver and black, sports the very latest instrumentation.

Step from the marina onto the extended swim platform with its stainless steel side rails, step forward into the cockpit, pause, and reflect a moment. Light bounces off highly polished timber surfaces. The stainless steel bulkhead glints in the sun.

The Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition is as practical as she is luxurious. Out here, storage spaces and lockers abound. A new wash down station under a hinged cover at the transom is a very handy addition. Speaking of new features, there are twin electric push button sunroofs concealed in the soaring cockpit hardtop.

Discover two large designer outdoor lounges starboard and aft. The starboard lounge is set around a timber entertainer's table on a stainless steel pedestal. To port, the superbly equipped wet bar (with refrigerator, icemaker, sink, and more) and barbeque center is the place to be. Cleverly concealed in a space beneath, safe from the elements, lies your touch button tender garage.

It is a welcome retreat, sunlover haven and functional working area all at once. The foredeck projects a handsome profile and serves many purposes, both practical and lifestyle-related.

Up here you store vital functional gear like ropes and anchoring equipment. Rest assured there is also ample room for AM/FM stereos with Bluetooth and USB ports, fold away sun awning and other essentials of Series II living.

Accessing the fabulous foredeck is a walk in the park, easy and stress free for all thanks to wide walk-around side decks, raised bulwarks and marine grade 316 stainless steel handrails. Front and center is a double sun lounge with plump upholstery, adjustable backrests, sun awning, and exclusive views.

Ideally positioned midway between the cockpit and saloon, the galley can serve guests in both of these areas with equal aplomb. Better still, by simply opening the large awning above and sliding open the stainless steel framed bulkhead door, you transform the area into one flowing luxury main deck entertaining space. This puts the galley and chef at the absolute heart of all the action, which is just as it should be.

Located off to one side away from foot traffic, the U-shaped galley is a pleasure to work and be in. The new Platinum Edition model features the latest word in contemporary design with stunning benchtops, large, brilliantly presented timber cabinetry and premier European appliances.

If the galley is the heart, the saloon is the soul. Step into a warm and inviting space flooded with light from sweeping tinted glass windows to port and starboard.

Keeping you connected to the natural world is a push button electronic sunroof overhead. You also have reverse cycle air conditioning and the option of opening side windows to fill the space with fresh air.

The L-shaped lounge to port, set around a handcrafted highly polished dining table, is plush, soft, and welcoming. On your way to relaxing there you may wish to pause for a refreshment at the saloon's newly designed cocktail cabinet. With bottle and glass drawers and more storage under a gas-assisted bench lid, it is quite the welcome addition.

Ultimately sport motor yachting is all about taking command at the helm. And what a command station Riviera have purpose designed in the Series II.

The console gleams with world class instrumentation in sporty black and silver grey. Slide into the plush Recaro (with alcantara inserts) captain's chair and feel immediately at home. The leather and chrome steering wheel feels good to the touch, as does the joystick to your left, offering great control. If you can drive a modern luxury car, you can command the 4800 Series II Platinum Edition with ease.

Everything you need to know if right in front of you on large multi-function touch screens. Take in Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit navigation display and monitoring, full vessel control, steering and propulsion control. All at a glance.

They're all linked to world-leading Volvo IPS twin diesels delivering breathtaking, super quiet performance from the engine rom that is backed by the Volvo Penta 5-year limited warranty.

Great design adds visual interest, amenity, and space. Step down from the helm and experience great design first hand in the accommodation deck atrium. Natural light filters down from above.

Practical with a touch of luxury, it boasts loads of additional onboard storage space as well as a large LED TV with full integrated home theater system. A comfy leather upholstered L-shaped lounge with ottoman, takes pride of place.

Masterfully designed and meticulously appointed, Riviera designers have relished the challenge and made the master of the 4800 Series II the next level in sport yacht accommodation luxury.

The master is positioned forward for maximum privacy and can be optioned to considerably larger. Series II features a king sized bed with innerspring mattress and yes, it remains walk around. Storage space available beneath is also larger but gas struts make access easy.

Plush pile carpet covers an increased overall floor area. The master's handsome cabinetry is finished in grain-matched walnut with generous storage space now includes a larger starboard hanging locker and three drawer bureau with mirror. Your entertainment options have also expanded with a new 32 inch LED TV and integrated entertainment system.

Sweeping hull windows frame panoramic views. Just next door lies the master ensuite with designer vanity, hand basin, large shower, and complementary luxury ambiance.

The Riviera team's attention to detail shines in the aft stateroom, where your guests will want for nothing. Their needs have all been carefully considered and duly accommodated with style and flair.

They'll have LED lighting overhead, plush pile carpet at their feet, reverse cycle air conditioning to warm and cool them and a fragrant cedar-lined locker to hang their clothes. Their suitably luxurious enuite is fit to grace the pages of Designer Bathrooms.

Riviera designers have also built in a high degree of flexibility. The stateroom is large enough to accommodate three adult-sized single beds with ease. (Incidentally,, the bases and risers of the beds are now lined with premium leather). If required, your guests have the option of sliding together the two portside to form a double bed for couples.

Access to the engine room -- with acoustic ad thermal insulation and LED lighting -- is via a deck hatch from the cockpit. Its here that you will really begin to appreciate the careful consideration for which Riviera is renowned globally in terms of its engine rooms.

The impressive commercial air intake system helps to keep the engine room temperature well below the engine manufacturer's formal recommendation, reducing fuel consumption even further, while the air-conditioning units are mounted high so gravity feeds condensation water into the common drain lines located on wither side of the yacht and which drain aft and overboard.

All onboard drains also feed into these common drain lines while the advanced mist elimination system with veins draws moisture from the air and feeds directly overboard.

Four automatic bilge pumps with manual override are located at various points throughout the hull and also pump directly overboard.

All batteries on board the 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition are maintenance-free to ensure carefree boating and are housed in special battery boxes in accordance with American Boating and Yacht Council (ABYC) and the European Union's CE industry standards.

The 4800 has two starting battery banks comprising two batteries per bank for the port and starboard engines. The house battery bank comprises two batteries, and there are two batteries in the auxiliary bank. Individual alternators for each battery bank ensure charging systems are optimized whilst underway and an emergency parallel function provides increased reliability, just in case you are ever faced with a flat start battery bank.

All batteries are isolated at the main battery panel in the cockpit.

The house power is 24-volt, which allows for simpler charging, lower current draw and smaller cables (further reduced weight) than equivalent 12-volt systems. The Mastervolt DC-AC inverter provides power to the icemaker, entertainment systems and one galley outlet, and ensures watching television while relaxing quietly at anchor is whisper-quiet.

LED lights provide trouble-free boating while reducing electrical current draw. The lamps use less than 10 percent of the power required to run a halogen lamp -- no bulbs mean no maintenance and a long service life. Additionally, Residual Current Device/Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (RCD/GFCI) provides protection over the entire yacht and also complies with ABYC and CE standards for safer boating.

Additional Information

Of the three Platinum Edition boats, the 4800 has come in for the lion’s share of model refinements – so much so that it has been designated the
Series II.

Power has been upgraded from Volvo Penta IPS700s to IPS800 pod drives, giving the 4800 just over 34-knot (63km/h) performance

At the rear of the boat is a new extended hydraulically operated swimplatform, which leads to a spacious garage that can accommodate a 2.7m RIB with the help of guide rails and Muir winch.

Stepping up into the cockpit, there is a wet bar including benchtop, refrigerator, icemaker, and sink as well as an enclosed double electric barbecue.

A big feature of all the Platinums are the twin electric-opening sunroofs, which can be operated separately and really flood the interior with natural light and fresh air.

The effect is enhanced when you slide back the stainless steel-framed glass saloon door and open the rear awning window to create a flow through into the saloon. The long side windows accentuate the flood of natural light, which reflects off the rich and warm varnished walnut cabinetry.

As an entertainer, the 4800 excels, with features like a saloon cocktail cabinet with bottle storage drawer as well as drawers for glass storage.

The fully equipped galley boasts soft-closing drawers and new Platinum Edition solid-surface bench tops.

Skippers will feel right at home on the upgraded helm, which is similar in look and feel across the range and features Recaro sports-style seats, with the skipper’s fully electrically adjustable.

Below deck, designers have worked hard to make the absolute most of the available space
on the twin-cabin, twin-bathroom 4800, with increased floor space in the forward master stateroom, which features a bigger hanging locker, three-drawer chest and a decent-sized 32in TV.

Occupants are pampered by a king-size walk-around berth with innerspring mattress and storage under the berth, including drawers and gas struts for easy access. Hull windows either side of the bed provide water views and bring in natural light, and guests will also appreciate their own superbly appointed private bathroom.
