The EX SALVAGE TUG BOAT "KHOZAM" is a 77.4-meter-long vessel built by Schichau Unterweser AG, Bremerhaven, a renowned German shipbuilder specializing in salvage tugs, offshore support vessels, and naval ships.

Original Purpose and Design

Initial Role: The yacht was built as a salvage tug, designed for towing and salvage operations. Salvage tugs are equipped with specialized equipment such as towing provisions, firefighting gear, and diving equipment to handle maritime emergencies.
Performance: It had a maximum speed of 18.2 knots and a towing capacity of 135 tons, powered by twin engines producing 8,800 horsepower.
