48 Uniflite 1981 Boat for Sale

48' Uniflite 1981

Uniflite built a strong reputation among Pacific Northwest boaters for producing solid fiberglass cruising yachts with practical layouts, dependable diesel power, and rugged construction suited to West Coast boating. Their boats became well known for offering generous interior volume, comfortable liveaboard potential, and capable coastal cruising performance. Even today, Uniflite yachts continue to appeal to buyers looking for a classic motor yacht with proven utility, timeless styling, and the kind of build quality that helped establish the brand’s long-standing following. The Uniflite 48 Motor Yacht is a classic coastal cruiser built on a semi-displacement hull with hard chines, designed to deliver a confident ride, practical handling, and exceptional interior volume for her size. This layout features an enclosed forward stateroom, galley down, dinette opposite, large main salon, command bridge above, enclosed aft lounge, and a private aft cabin beneath the rear deck, followed by an open cockpit and swim platform aft. The result is a versatile motor yacht that works well for Pacific Northwest cruising, extended weekends aboard, or comfortable liveaboard use. This example is powered by twin Detroit 6-71 turbocharged diesel inboards with Twin Disc gears, dual station hydraulic steering, and dual station controls. The current owners have enjoyed the boat for the past 12 years, having purchased her in 2015. The owners report the engines are running well. The original installed generator was removed and that space is now being used for additional storage, while portable power is provided by a Honda EU3000i generator used onboard. The boat also includes a Caribe rigid hull center console tender with a 20 HP Mercury electric start outboard purchased new in 2016. Additional highlights include autopilot, Garmin GPS, hydraulic trim tabs, handheld VHF, electric davit crane with cable remote, diesel heat, one 110V electric refrigerator, a separate deep freezer, and fishing gear onboard for buyers who may want it. With her spacious aft cabin layout, enclosed aft lounge, open cockpit, and proven West Coast cruising design, this Uniflite 48 presents a compelling opportunity for buyers seeking a classic motor yacht with real utility and comfort.
