PERFORMANCE & NAVAL ARCHITECTURE

• Designer — Jean-Marie Finot Group (Finot-Conq), France — one of the most respected offshore design studios in production sailing, responsible for multiple round-the-world race and bluewater cruising programmes.
• Builder — Chantiers Beneteau S.A., Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, France — hull no. 3 of the Oceanis Clipper 523 series, construction date 6 December 2004, 2005 model year.
• CE Design Category — A — Open Sea. Certified for offshore and ocean passages without restriction on wind force or sea state. Maximum 14 persons.
• Hull form — Moderate beam modern cruising hull — not a beamy charter box. Balanced upwind and downwind performance, comfortable motion in a seaway, proven on extended blue-water passages.
• Sail area — 124.88 m² combined design area — mainsail and genoa. Working sail plan well-matched to crew of two.
• Hull construction — GRP with CE-certified construction. Hull above the waterline in dark blue — buffed and polished to excellent condition early 2026.

SAIL PLAN & RIGGING

• Rig — Sloop rig — Selden aluminium mast, fractional, deck-stepped.
• Rig renewal — 2023 — Complete standing rigging replacement. Mast removed professionally. Mast boot renewed. Full professional inspection. 
• Sail wardrobe — Mainsail on roller, furling genoa / headsail (130% overlapping), downwind gennaker / Code 0, storm sail. Full wardrobe for short-handed passage-making.
• Winches — Lewmar self-tailing primaries including one electric winch for halyards. Additional manual winches for sheets and control lines.
• Running rigging — All sail controls led aft — genuinely manageable short-handed.

ENGINE & MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

• Main engine — Yanmar 4JH3-HTE diesel — 73.6 kW / 100 hp. The standard fitment for this vessel and among the most widely supported sailboat diesels in any port worldwide.
• Engine hours — 3,167 hours — all since new on the original powerplant. Last serviced early 2026. Annual service recommended before the 2026 season.
• Generator — 9.5 kW genset, approximately 700 hours — very lightly used. Make / model to be confirmed at viewing.
• Solar — 600 W — one fixed panel plus two portable panels (can be repositioned on deck). Sufficient to power the whole boat under normal Mediterranean conditions.
• Battery banks — 7 service batteries (renewed approximately 18 months ago) + dedicated emergency start battery (maintained independently, not drawn on by house loads). Battery monitor installed.
