M/V “NAPA VALLEY” is an eighteen decimal two metre (18.2 m, 59 ft 8 in with platform) pilothouse
motor yacht, production built of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) by Carver Yachts (Genmar Yacht Group
LLC, Pulaski, WI USA) in year 2007, and currently powered by twin in-line six-cylinder diesel engines
through reversing gears to conventional propellers. The hull is comprised of flared bows with transverse
thruster, single chines, modified “V” underbody, spade rudders, and transom stern with transverse stern
thruster and articulating boarding platform. The interior layout consists of forepeak deck access only
chain locker followed by forward cabin with center-line double berth and starboard side toilet
compartment containing vanity, stall shower, and vacuum toilet, followed by centered passageway aft
accessing port side cabin containing twin stacked single berths, and master cabin aft with island double
berth, toilet compartment, vanity, tub/shower compartment, and clothes washer and dryer units. Next
starboard side spiral staircase up to the pilot house that contains centered helm with pedestal seating
for operator guest lounge, starboard side sliding door casement to side deck, steps up to bridge and
steps down to the salon that contains galley to port, starboard side entertainment centre and sofa with
reclining sections, and sliding door casement to open cockpit. The bridge enclosure consists of canvas
and clear acrylic on stainless steel bows and radar arch that contains centre-line helm and seating
followed by wet bar and and lounge aft. There is also bridge access from cockpit via starboard side
staircase. The cockpit sole contains access hatch to the steering flat/lazarette and bench seating aft.
