Amara Boat | 47' Ron Holland 2004

Magnum 46.5 for sale in Grenada. Made by Reliant Yachts, Durban and designed by Ron Holland. Ron Holland has a reputation for designing sailing yachts that combine performance with beauty, comfort and structural integrity and Amara is a prime example. Amara has had only 2 owners and has been in current ownership for 18 years. She is a performance cruiser that is straightforward and easy to handle for 2 people, with plenty of space for additional crew. She is superbly equipped for blue water cruising with the highest quality equipment including a state of the art power management system that is fully automatic and easy to use, generator, watermaker, air conditioning, dive equipment and a new Starlink satellite system.

In keeping with the rest of the boat, the teak decks are in superb condition having been completely re-caulked in 2023. Amara has recently completed an Atlantic crossing with her 2 owners and performed faultlessly throughout the journey. Her rig and sail plan make for a boat that is fast in light airs and she handles strong winds and heavy seas safely and effortlessly.

Her configuration below decks is comfortably laid out for life on board, with a generous master cabin aft (with en-suite), a good sized double forward and the crew cabin has two full size bunks. The galley is fully equipped with 2 fridges, a freezer, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and all ancillary equipment.

Her current owner is an engineer who ran a marine engineering distribution business for 20 years. He has maintained Amara to the very highest of standards, carrying out a lot of the maintenance himself and bringing in experts when required. Every aspect of this yacht has been the subject of close scrutiny and service numerous times over the years, and this is evidenced by the high standard of cleanliness and serviceability throughout.

She features a comprehensive and modern tool kit and a huge complement of service spares for the systems. Amara is a fast and comfortable cruising yacht that is superbly equipped and ready for her next adventure.
