Amazing Grace Boat | 36' Kadey-Krogen 1984

This Kadey-Krogen 36’ Manatee is one of only 99 ever built and represents a unique opportunity to own one of the most practical, livable trawlers in her class. Known for efficiency (burning just 2 GPH at 7 knots) and an incredibly spacious interior, the Manatee was designed by James S. Krogen to provide long-range comfort without pretense. With her shallow 3’2” draft and seaworthy design, she is equally at home exploring protected rivers and bays as she is stretching out for long coastal passages.

This vessel has been very well maintained with recent major updates including a full bottom refinish (2024), exterior teak refinishing, and a brand-new AGM battery system. With over $20,000 invested in updated Garmin electronics, she is fully outfitted for safe, reliable, and modern cruising and is undoubtedly turn-key and ready for it’s next adventure.

Lifestyle & Cruising Potential

The Kadey-Krogen Manatee is more than just a trawler—it’s a capable home on the water. Her wide beam and thoughtful layout provide a sense of space normally reserved for much larger yachts, making her an excellent candidate for extended cruising or comfortable liveaboard life. With the impressive efficiency and long range, you can explore the Inside Passage, cruise the San Juans and Gulf Islands, or head south to Mexico and beyond without hesitation.

Few boats combine such a rare mix of practicality, economy, and comfort. Whether your dream is a weekend getaway cottage, a floating waterfront condo, or a serious long-distance cruiser, this Manatee is ready to take you there.
