Designed by renowned naval architect Tom Fexas, the Aleutian 72 features a modified deep-V hull developed for stability, responsive handling and efficiency across a broad range of cruising speeds. Solid fiberglass construction below the waterline, foam-cored topsides, flared hull sides and a protective keel reflect the practical design and craftsmanship that distinguish the Grand Banks pedigree.
The salon provides an inviting setting for relaxing or entertaining, complemented by rich wood cabinetry, generous windows and teak flooring. Interior improvements completed in 2023 included new window shades, refreshed ceiling lighting, reupholstered seating in the salon and pilothouse, new furniture, bedding and mattresses, and additional bookcase lighting. The main-level teak floors received 12 coats of varnish, while new rugs and updated lamps in the primary and VIP suites added further finishing touches. Exterior improvements also include refinished aft-deck and pilothouse tables, new aft-deck chairs in 2023, refreshed forward cushions in 2026, and a new aft-deck grill in 2026.
APRES SKI’s mechanical spaces were designed with service access in mind, including a spacious engine room accessible from both the cockpit and crew quarters. Owner-reported maintenance includes stabilizer service in 2023 and rebuilding of the bow and stern thrusters in 2025. The Caterpillar C18 engines have received new starters, with approximately 4,020 engine hours noted by the owner.
