APSARA — Outremer 45 | 2021 | Offered directly by Outremer | EU VAT Paid
APSARA has already lived the dream. Since her launch in 2021, she has crossed the Atlantic twice, explored the Caribbean, and returned each time in outstanding condition — a testament to how well she was built and how carefully she has been kept. Two successive owners, same programme: the Mediterranean, then the Atlantic loop, then back. She knows the trade winds. She has swung at anchor in places most sailors only read about. And today, she is ready to do it all again — with you.
She is an Outremer 45, which tells you a great deal. Outremer was born in La Grande-Motte from a founding conviction: build catamarans by sailors, for sailors. Gérard Danson created the yard around the idea that a bluewater cruising catamaran should be fast, genuinely safe, and easy to handle for a couple or a small crew. In 2007, Grand Large Yachting took over the shipyard and continued building on that same DNA — staying true to the founding ideal of safety, comfort and performance while bringing the brand to a passionate international audience. That build quality and structural integrity remain what set Outremer apart from anything else in the market.
The Outremer 45 itself was designed by the Barreau-Neuman duo and launched in 2014. Over time the model evolved, growing to 48 feet as standard — the name unchanged, the extension added at the stern to improve waterflow, performance, and create a far more practical boarding area for the tender. The interior stayed exactly as drawn; the gain is purely where it counts. Sailing La Vagabonde brought this model to a worldwide audience, but its reputation was built ocean by ocean, anchorage by anchorage, long before them.
APSARA is offered here directly by Outremer through Grand Large Services, the official brokerage arm of Grand Large Yachting — which means full shipyard knowledge of her history, her build, and her care record since day one. Her specification reflects a serious original commission: a full Incidence Hydranet sail wardrobe — mainsail, self-tacking solent, Code D and Code O — a Mastervolt lithium battery bank with 800W of solar panels, a Dessalator 100L/h watermaker, and a fully integrated B&G navigation ecosystem covering chartplotter, wind instruments, radar and autopilot. Cortex VHF, Iridium Go and Starlink complete the communications package. Safety equipment is Category 1 blue-water compliant. There is nothing left to add — she is ready to cast off.
Available now, EU VAT paid, with an existing leasing arrangement available for takeover. Buying through Grand Large Services means access to the full Outremer ecosystem: owner rallies, refit and technical support at the source, crew training programmes, and a global community of sailors who have made these boats their life.
APSARA is not a project. She is not a compromise. She is a proven Outremer, presented by the shipyard itself, in exceptional condition — and she is waiting in Marseille. Come and see her.
