It is also another space for entertaining guests or just getting away. There is an exceptionally large amount of storage under the helm station. Bench seats with storage underneath on both sides. One of the major advantages of a 44 DeFever is the walk-in engine room. BEDOUIN has a clean, bright engine room with standup access to all service points. Perkins engines have been maintained with regularly scheduled oil changes and fuel filters replacements. The transmission oil is changed on a regular basis and new transmission damper plates were installed.

ELECTRICAL: 

• Both 12V DC and 120V AC, controlled via a panel with built-in circuit breakers, switches and meters in the main salon.
• The electrical system is key to monitoring battery charges and providing dependable power for starting the engines, providing DC power to run all 12V equipment on the vessel and using an inverter to provide 120V AC for appliances when not connected to shore power.
• 4 new 2025 Odyssey AGM batteries, 3 house, 1 engine start.
• One 4D AGM new Odessey backup bow thruster/windlass (2024).
• One group 31 AGM generator start battery, new 2025.
• Westerbeke 12.6 kw generator with separate starting battery. 
• Xantrex Freedom Marine 2500 watt inverter/charger (with remote panel located in salon).
• Xantrex 3 Bank 40amp Multistage Battery Charger - (charges engine start and generator battery).
• Shore power inlet.
• Main breaker and switch panel.
• Wiring panel with schematic in the engine room.
• Extra long 70’ 50 amp shore power cord.
• For larger electrical loads and recharging batteries is the Westerbeke generator.

SALON AND LOWER HELM:

• From the sundeck you enter the boat thru a lockable full-sized door that leads down 5 steps to the main salon.
• The large salon offers a long counter with lots of storage cabinetry. 
• The very large Dinette table and L-shaped settee with booth style seating with storage underneath sits across from the 27” 2024 Samsung Smart TV Flat with Sirius Sat Radio (need subscription) and Polk Audio soundbar. 
• There are sliding doors on both sides of the Salon that provide direct access to the side decks as well as great cross ventilation.

GALLEY: 

The galley is aft of the salon with large windows, 6'4" headroom and great natural light. Upper and lower Teak cabinets with countertops.

The upper helm is covered with a custom fiberglass hard top. This vessel is capable of doing the Americas Great Loop as the air draft can get down under 19 feet.
