Easily board the stern by stepping onto the fiberglass nonskid swim platform. A transom gate, with removable panel and guide wire, provides easy access to the cockpit. Port and starboard openings are also available for practicality. A spacious cockpit for its size, low gunwales support thick polished stainless-steel rails and four large cleats. A fiberglass nonskid deck contains the lazarette and access to the rudder post, steering ram, and primary fuel filters. Additional storage is provided by the fiberglass molded bench, currently used to house additional lines and hoses. This wide nonskid platform acts as a small mezzanine with ladder access to the Bimini covered deck above the main cabin. Thick stainless-steel rails surround the covered area, providing safety and secure points for additional fenders or other equipment.
From the cockpit, enter the cabin through the mid-size aft facing door with opening overhead hatch. Down four steps to Amtico saloon and galley sole. L-shaped galley to port with HIMACS “White Quartz” countertop, stainless steel sink, separate Nova Kool refrigerator and freezer, electric range, convection microwave, and built-in Sapele wood drawers with additional cabinets for storage.
To starboard, the L-shaped convertible settee features built-in storage and is complemented by an extendable high-low table—ideal for onboard meals or gathering with guests. Additional storage is available in a deep forward locker and a tall aft locker. Across the cabin, above the galley, a drop-down Sapele cabinet houses a Vizio flat-screen TV. Large opening windows with screens surround the space, filling it with natural light and allowing a refreshing breeze while at anchor. Soft panels in the saloon/galley sole provide convenient access to the dripless shaft seal and bilge area.
Up three steps forward to the pilothouse with main AC and DC electrical panels on port and starboard companionway stairs.
The pilothouse features separate Captain and Mate bench seating to port and starboard, each equipped with folding footrests and integrated storage. Sliding doors on both sides provide additional cabin access, while the helm is positioned to starboard, and the forward companionway is to port. The engine room is accessible through three removable Amtico floor panels, offering convenient access to the port, starboard, and top sides of the 270hp direct-drive Volvo D4 diesel engine. A three-panel windshield, six additional windows, and an opening overhead hatch offer ample visibility and an abundance of natural light. Operation is made nearly effortless with full Garmin electronics, Side-Power bow and stern thrusters, and electric Volvo controls.
Descending the four steps forward, the companionway leads to a storage locker on the port side, the stateroom straight ahead, and the head to starboard. The head features a curtain-style stall shower with a molded seat, a HIMAC White Quartz vanity with integrated sink and storage, a freshwater electric toilet, and an opening portlight with a screen and Zarcor CloZure privacy shutter. Additional amenities include a mirror, medicine cabinet, and a recessed storage compartment built into the starboard bulkhead, concealed behind a sliding wood door.
The forward stateroom is accessed through a sliding Sapele door and features a centerline stepped island berth that occupies most of the space. Hanging lockers are located to port and starboard, with built-in shelving lining both sides of the cabin. Additional storage is provided by drawers beneath the bed, while the bilge and thruster are accessible under the forward section of the mattress. Two opening portlights, equipped with privacy shutters and exterior screens, along with an overhead hatch, offer light and ventilation. Typical for this class of vessel, the anchor locker is accessible through a hatch at the head of the berth.
DC electric fans and Sapele grab rails are placed conveniently throughout the cabin.
The foredeck is accessible via port and starboard walkways, featuring fiberglass nonskid surfaces, a molded toe rail, and robust polished stainless-steel rails and stanchions. Additional grab rails are mounted on the superstructure for added safety. The area includes a raised mezzanine above the forward stateroom, which doubles as bench seating or a sundeck.
Mounted atop the pilothouse are four solar panels generating a combined 400W of power, easily accessible from either the elevated forward deck or soft covered aft deck.
Nordic Tugs has earned full certification from both the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) across its entire product line—a significant achievement in the marine industry. While all boats sold in the U.S. must comply with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, ABYC certification goes much further, requiring boats to meet more rigorous safety and construction standards. This distinction involves thorough third-party inspections to ensure full compliance with all applicable guidelines.
