The Pacific Mariner 65 built in the rugged sea environment of the Pacific Northwest in La Connor Washington. The Story of Pacific Mariner is deep and broad with the collaboration of many Shipyards in the Pacific Northwest which were known to share amongst all shipyards the latest technology in fiberglass boat building which actually originated from the fishing fleet of the tough waters and inlets that they are renown for.
Like all great yachts the beginnings start in design with the highly recognized hull designer Bill Garden who also did the Westport 130. The owner of Pacific Mariner was the owner of Westport's son, so needless to say boat construction methods and technology was afforded to Pacific Mariner but all the yards in the Pacific Northwest would help.
We consider the Bill Garden's hull design to be one of the best on the water as you view the water coming off the bow smoothly it becomes evident, Bill Garden called most boats "Push Waters"
The 65 Pacific Mariner checks a lot of boxes, nice Aft Deck, Large Salon with big windows, Open Galley with full size appliances and a side by side refrigerator to a spacious Pilothouse with full instrumentation and excellent views while cruising and fixing a sandwich at the same time. She offers 3 Staterooms and three heads plus a small crew aft if desired. The master has a walk around king size berth which is not offered on most boats this size, and a stand up engine room.
The Engines are very Reliable Caterpillar 3406 engines with low hours of 2375 with most of the hours being done by the knowledgeable owner with excellent maintenance and care. She cruises efficiently and comfortable at 21 knots at 2000 rpms burning approximately 62 gallons an hour. If you cruise at 10 knots the efficiency is greatly enhanced.
"Carried Away" offers an great opportunity for a buyer to purchase a world class turn key yacht without the hassle of changing headliner, wall paper, replacing the aged teak deck spending 50k plus in electronics, the list is long! Plus the time and agony of dealing with vendors. Do the math!
