Modified manufactures comments: The 405 Flybridge is built for knowledgeable boaters who enjoy social activities, comfortable living quarters, ease-of-handling and excellent long-distance cruising properties. The flybridge roof has light, sweeping lines and incorporates a folding mast. A large, fixed skylight makes the salon very light and airy. The flybridge features several cleverly functional and social spaces. The flybridge includes a wet bar, with sink, grill and fridge, sun bed, large sofa and a twin helm seat. The twin seat can be turned 180 degrees and thus form a roomy social seating area in combination with the sofa. If desired, the sofa can be easily converted into an additional sun bed.
All functions on the flybridge have been designed to allow the boat to pass beneath low bridges after a few simple adjustments. Thanks to the asymmetrical hull design, the “sidewalk” deck layout, walking space is maximized on the starboard side, making it very easy to get on and off the boat and to spend time on deck, while allowing generous space in the cockpit and cabin. The Nimbus Coupé series has been built since 1969 and more than four-thousand of these boats have been sold worldwide. The 405 Flybridge is built in Mariestad, Sweden at the Nimbus boatyard.

"Duet" features Nimbus's upgraded Nordic Oak handcrafted interior, that combined with the factory salon helm area panoramic sunroof, the one-piece windshield, and large side windows, enhances the already open, bright contemporary design that Nimbus yachts are known for.
Accommodation features include three staterooms and two heads, a large bright & open salon, a well-appointed galley, offering excellent storage and dual sliding salon access doors.

The galley is located on the starboard side of the main salon. Galley cabinetry is Nordic Oak with black speckled solid surface countertop with an undercounter double stainless-steel sink. Galley equipment includes Nimbus factory flatware & dishware housed in custom built drawers & cabinets, Empava induction 2-burner cooktop, cooktop vent, GE microwave, Isotherm refrigerator with freezer, separate Isotherm refrigerator/freezer drawer mounted under the salon settee, trash/recycle bin compartment and a large window with privacy blinds running the length of the galley.
Electrical power is provided via the four 125V/30A shore power inlets, 2X forward & 2X aft, the Mastervolt 3000W inverter/charger, Panda 8.0kw generator and the yachts battery system. All power is managed through AC/DC distribution panels and battery safety switches.
Propulsion power for "Duet" is provided by a pair of Volvo D6-380I-G diesel inboard engines with approx. 314 hours; these are a factory upgrade over the standard 320hp diesels. The engine compartment is easily access via two large cockpit deck hatches that are both hinged so they open towards the outer side of the cockpit to provide the best possible access when servicing the diesel engines. Engines, transmissions & generator received oil & filter service in May 2026.
The engines have an extended warranty till 2029.
The N405F offers dual helm stations both with captain's seating, engine/transmission controls & monitoring gauges and SIMRAD navigational equipment.

The lower helm is located in the forward starboard side of the main salon. Features include double captain's seats, sliding side deck access door, a one-piece windshield that provides exceptional forward visibility, a very smartly designed helm console giving easy access to the equipment housed in the console.

The flybridge helm is located on the forward port side of the bridge, with a double width captain's seat, low profile helm console that doesn't interfere with the helmspersons forward visibility, a large starboard side passenger settee and a wraparound plexiglass windshield venturi.

Getting aboard "Duet' and around the yacht is very easy, thanks in part to the deep, deck level swim platform that makes getting aboard safe, the starboard side transom door, wide recessed starboard side side-decks which provide safe passage to the foredeck. Nimbus gave much thought to how they could get their clientele around the N405F in a quick & safe manner; you'll have to step aboard to get a good feel for these safety features.

The 405F's flybridge deck was designed with cruising, entertainment and relaxation in mind. Features include a well-appointed helm station with a double width captain's seat, a large passenger settee with table, sun-lounge and a BBQ/beverage center.
