The Palm Beach 55' was introduced in the USA at the Newport International Boat Show in September 2011 and was awarded “The Best New Motor Boat (over 30ft)”. The 55' was modeled on the company’s flagship Palm Beach 65/70 and comes with a two or three cabin layout and rear tender garage. 

Built to the highest standards available, our factory enables all stages of construction to occur in one facility under the watchful eye of CEO Mark Richards. Utilizing solid works 3D design programs coupled with computerized CNC systems and state of the art tooling ensures precise construction.

Latest generation E glass, vinyl ester, epoxy resins and stitched multiaxial fabric over Corecell linear foam are used to provide a very strong, but lightweight hull and deck. All bulkheads and fixed furniture are structurally bonded to the hull and deck for superior strength and rigidity like a performance racing yacht. Each model is engineered with proprietary noise silencing materials to provide a tranquil environment while aboard.

Palm Beach uses Volvo marine engines and world-class standard equipment but will build to client specifications if alternatives are preferred. All engine and ancillary equipment sit atop fully isolated with decoupled engine mounts to reduce noise and vibration. The engine room consists of loaded vinyl acoustic isolation panels, preventing noise from moving outside of the engine room into the boat’s living area. She features an extremely quiet and efficient ride!

Stability and agility are paramount and uncompromised in all the Palm Beach models. A trip offshore in rough conditions delivers superb performance with a fine bow entry and warped hull, providing outstanding fuel consumption and comfortable cruising speeds. Maneuverability and ease of handling comes through hydraulic steering, electronic gear selection and optional bow/stern thrusters.

When it comes to internal fit out, we offer owners with a choice of either our traditional finish dominated by polished Burmese teak in conjunction with handcrafted joinery or our Contemporary finish. While still using teak trimming, our Contemporary finish utilizes more soft furnishings and composite materials to provide a more modern feel while maintaining our high quality. The choice is yours and as with all Palm Beach Motor Yachts, the fit out is entirely custom to suit each owner.

The Palm Beach Motor Yachts feature a unique, innovative hull design that is exclusive to the this brand more recently the new Grand Banks. This is the same design that has been used on Palm Beach Motor Yachts models for approximately 20 years and it offers some fantastic benefits not found on any other yacht!

The hull itself is “warped” semi-displacement and has one of the most fantastic rides any of us have ever experienced because of her very fine bow point of entry which then flattens out aft with about 6-8 degree dead rise.

This design is very fuel efficient with her fuel burn being approximately 30% less than any other yacht in her class; @ 20 knots she burns 31 gal/hr combined with IPS while at her 30 knot cruise she burns approx. 57 gal/hr. The hull is vacuum-infused E-glass with carbon fiber in structural areas, cored with Corcell and Airex foam, stitched multiaxial fabric, and vinylester and epoxy resins. The deck and superstructure are fully-infused carbon fiber. We use these state-of-the-art techniques to reduce weight and keep the center of gravity low which provides us with our outstanding performance and efficiency.
